I found a few similar topics however none specific to my issue. I went to create a like button code, I clicked the create like box, added my link http://www.facebook.com/pages/SpartaPerformancecom/248083571902684 to the URL formated the like button how I want it to appear. Then I opened Dreamweaver and pasted the Facebook code in the Dreamweaver HTML code where I want the Like button to appear but I get nothing. Please respond like "coding for dummies" language so I can understand how to solve my issue. Thanks in advance.
Make sure you add <div id="fb-root"></div> somewhere between the <body></body> tags. Their latest like button generator is missing that part.

I'm struggling with this problem for a few months now and I can't figure out where to change this.
Note that the website I'm working on is coded by someone else, I can't find the part where the fontawesome icon is added to the home text in the breadcrumbs.
Look at the breadcrumbs
As you can see there's an icon added, but I want to add a space between home and the icon, I just can't figure out which file to edit.
If you need any more info, let me know.
Search for $_['text_home'] in catalog/language/english/default.php and add a space in it.
At the moment i'm building a website in sharepoint, but everytime i open the main page of the website in my browser the control panel on the left upperside of the screen is missing. I have no idea why?
To clarify: In this tutorial you can see the browse/page/site control screen, in which they make nearly all the simple changes to the website. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJlwCNXMCBo (edit: Forgot the link of the tutorial)
I literally have no idea why i cant use this, does anyone have any clue?
Edit: My mainpage looks like this:

Pull down the menu with the gear icon beside your name. Click on "Show Ribbon".
Your master page is hiding it through javascript.
<script type="text/javascript">
var suitebar = $("#suiteBar");
if(suitebar.length<1)
$("#s4-ribbonrow").css('display','none');
</script>
If you change the master page to $("#s4-ribbonrow").css('display','block');
You should see the ribbon.
I am developing a template for bigcommerce site, where i want to show category list and some hard code links in the place of Page menu. Now what i do, just place this %%Panel.SideCategoryList%% in the upper navigation area. Which shows category list right.
But the problem is that i didn't find this %%SNIPPET_SideCategoryList%% file. (In snippets folder exist a file with this name, but that file doesn't work even if i remove all contents of that file.)
I had a similar issue with SNIPPET_SideShopByBrandList.
I logged a ticket and got the following response:
Thank you for contacting BigCommerce technical support.
I see its reference in SideShopByBrand panel. In the same panel, there is another SNIPPET_ShopByBrandAllItem which is visible in snippets tree, but not this one. That's because its a hidden snippet, and its not possible to edit this.
I have tested this in my personal store as well, and the output is same. let me know if you have any other questions.
I think yours might also be a "hidden snippet and not possible to edit"
No worry....You need to just create html page and put the below code but keep one thing don't include the html, head, body etc
1) just create a html page and delete the html content
2) put the below my code for
3)
<li class="%%GLOBAL_LastChildClass%%">%%GLOBAL_CategoryName%%
%%GLOBAL_SubCategoryList%%
</li>
I'm trying to implement the Facebook Like button into a site and basically what I want is a very simple button that when clicked likes the corresponding facebook page and then opens it in a new window. I don't want the comments or the faces or the count, just the button and when clicked I don't want the option to add a comment. It just likes the page and opens it in a new tab, nothing more.
Any help would be appreciated.
Use this link
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/
You can find answer for your question . Simply select the Layout to box_count or button_count . You will get simple like button .
If you want to use the facebook like plugin, the only customizations you can do are available here:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/
This will also generate the code on html5/iframe/xfbml into your application.
I am totally new to this. What I want to do is to add a like button on an external website, which will then like a photo in one of the album in a page. I followed the instructions but still get "error" or page inaccessible whenever the like button is clicked.
The test page is at http://www.jeremyhoo.comlu.com/rosken/ try clicking the like button to see what I mean. Any idea how do I correct this?
Thanks Heaps!
