How can I debug clj-apache-http? - clojure

I'm trying to get an OAuth application up, but I fail because the API servers won't talk to me. Unfortunatly the used clj-apache-http won't tell me what was the problem, I only get this warning:
WARNUNG: Authentication error: Unable to respond to any of these challenges: {oauth=WWW-Authenticate: OAuth realm="http%3A%2F%2FSERVERNAME"}
Exception in thread "Thread-1" java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.Exception: JSON error (unexpected character): I (example.clj:1)

at clojure.core$load_one.invoke(core.clj:4729)
Ok, now that isn't helping me. There is a strange character I as the first one in the response - that's clearly no JSON.
I want to get the log level of apaches HTTPClient up to DEBUG now, but I don't know how to set system properties via leiningen. Any tips?

This is a way to get all requests by clj-apache-http through a local debugging proxy:
(require ['com.twinql.clojure.http :as 'http])
(:content
(http/get (java.net.URI. "http://yourhost.com")
:parameters (http/map->params {
:default-proxy (http/http-host
:host "127.0.0.1"
:port 8765)}) :as :string))

Alternatively, you could add this to your log4j.properties:
log4j.logger.httpclient.wire.header=DEBUG
log4j.logger.httpclient.wire.content=DEBUG
log4j.logger.org.apache.commons.httpclient=DEBUG
log4j.logger.org.apache.http=DEBUG
log4j.logger.org.apache.http.wire=DEBUG
Which will dump all communication to your log file. This is useful don't want to change the code that makes the request.

Unable to resolve akka.pattern.AskTimeoutException: Ask timed out

I am trying to replace the default LevelDB in OpenDaylight with Apache Ignite which i am unable to do after making changes to the akka.conf file and deploying the akka-persistence-ignite jar that i found here. https://github.com/Romeh/akka-persistance-ignite
I am facing an issue in the following line of the source code (AbstractDataStoreClientActor class) where it throws a Runtime Exception.
private static final Function1<ActorRef, ?> GET_CLIENT_FACTORY = ExplicitAsk.toScala(GetClientRequest::new);
#SuppressWarnings("checkstyle:IllegalCatch")
public static DataStoreClient getDistributedDataStoreClient(#Nonnull final ActorRef actor,
final long timeout, final TimeUnit unit) {
return (DataStoreClient) Await.result(ExplicitAsk.ask(actor, GET_CLIENT_FACTORY,
Timeout.apply(timeout, unit)), Duration.Inf());
which gives the following error
akka.pattern.AskTimeoutException: Ask timed out on [Actor[akka://opendaylight-cluster-data/user/$a#-809157907]] after [30000 ms]. Sender[null] sent message of type "org.opendaylight.controller.cluster.databroker.actors.dds.GetClientRequest".
My question is how can i know the behavior of the actor to which the above message is sent? Is there any way to check if the actor has been created properly? What could be the reason for which the Ask method is going to timeout?

The issue is not with DistributedDatastoreClientActor - it is a side-effect of an issue with the persistence backend - see my previous comment. Notice that the error stack trace contains an NPE emanating from akka.persistence.snapshot.japi.SnapshotStore which indicates the backing SnapshotStore unexpectedly returned null from loadAsync. This points to the ignite plugin.

And I found this matching lines in older v1.2.0 of org.wso2.carbon.identity.sso.agent component [1].
So in order to resolve the issue, you need to find the correct source of the relevant jar, debug the flow and need to check exactly which variable it use a null reference to access something.
If you find difficulty finding a source of a relevant component, raise a separate question mentioning the versions you are looking for.

WSO2 AS 5.2.1. Servlet Exception while making the decision : java.lang.NullPointerException

i was actual trying this tutorial: http://wso2.com/library/tutorials/2012/12/providing-xacml-fine-grained-authorization-webapps/
on the authentication with admin:admin on localhost:9763/Entitlement_Sample_WebApp/protected.jsp i encountered an error:
exception

org.wso2.carbon.identity.entitlement.filter.EntitlementFilter.doFilter(EntitlementFilter.java:191)
My WSO2 IS PDP receives the request and responds also correctly with a XACML Response : Permit
so where could be the problem ??
thank you
The problem caused by an error of EntitlementFilter, so I could solve this by correcting the source file EntitlementFilter.java (line 191)
like below:
simpleDecision = decisionElement.getFirstChildWithName(new QName("Result")).getFirstChildWithName(new QName("Decision")).getText();
rewrite it:
simpleDecision = decisionElement.getFirstChildWithName(new QName(“urn:oasis:names:tc:xacml:3.0:core:schema:wd-17″,”Result”)).
getFirstChildWithName(new QName(“urn:oasis:names:tc:xacml:3.0:core:schema:wd-17″,”Decision”)).getText();
It ommitted namespace in QName method
The detail is here (https://nparkstar.wordpress.com/2015/01/27/wso2-as-sample-authorization-%EC%98%A4%EB%A5%98-%EC%88%98%EC%A0%95/).
Sorry, it is written in Korean, but I wish it could helpful.
It could be anywhere starting from this line : pepProxy.getDecision(userName, resource, action, env)
It could be in your pepProxy code, where they are getting back the result, or might be in the other lines after this call in that try catch.
One thing is sure PDP is not at all culprit.
Please paste your full exception here if you want to know precise problem + Solution.

Apple Push Notification using Coldfusion

I want to send Push notification using Coldfusion. I couldn't find much help on google. I could find only one article that discusses this topic. But unfortunately I am getting exceptions while following that method. As that method uses a JAR file, I am not able to debug the exception. Even I cannot see the exceptions.
I just want to know is there a simple way to send Push Notifications? Like there is one for Android. In Android you just have to send an http request and you're done. But I can see things are so complicated in case of Apple.
But I am sure that someone would have definitely achieved this. Can anyone please help me on this?
Finally from suggestions, I implemented onError in my Application.cfc and got the following error:

If you post that question at several location please add a link to the other copies of the questions.
Have a look at my answer to your java-apns issue on github.
(Updated with response from link)
This looks like a problem with ColdFusion. In the above stack dump you
see:
com.notnoop.apns.internal.Utilities.newSSLContext(Utilities.java:87)
calls into
java.security.KeyStore.load(KeyStore.java:1185)
which in turn fails after some ruminations in the com.rsa.cryptoj
library. So obviously something doesn't work with accessing the java
key store in ColdFusion.
Googling for one of the classes in the error yields some
interesting results:
Diagnosing a CFHTTP issue - peer not authenticated which
links in turn to
OpenID And ColdFusion which lists some
things you can try (disable Crypto-J in Cold Fusion)
As my server is on shared hosting. So, for every single change, I had to submit a ticket to the hosting site. It was causing headache. Finally, I had the php server setup placed the push notification code (easily available in PHP on google) on PHP server. Then I called that php file from the Coldfusion code. This worked for me.

Has glassfish 2.1.1 a bug handling http request and handle them twice?

I'm using glassfish 2.1.1. I've watched a mysterious http/webservice-call handling. It seams an http request is handled by two different threads.
After http basic authentication the first thread is faster. Persisting some data end, but writing response fails in glassfish internal.
The second thread fails, because it tries to persist identical data and there are (unique) constrain failures. The response (the failure) of second thread was delivered to client.
I don't won't discuss the behavior with the unique constrain failure. I've improve the webservice, so it can handle this better, because it could be happen anytime, that the client send the ws call a second time.
But I think, glassfish 2.1.1 has an bug handling http request. Is there any known issue? Have I done an mistake?

I did a quick search at https://glassfish.dev.java.net/issues/query.cgi and did not see a report that looked like a duplicate of the situation that you are encountering here... though I may have missed it.
You should probably report this issue to the GlassFish developers, via their issue tracker: https://glassfish.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectIssues.
You may have misread the log or done something wrong in your code, but this is really hard to tell given the limited amount of info that you have given in this question... But, SO doesn't really work as an issue analysis/resolution system. The GF issue tracker is a better choice for that.
