I have a website. I was wondering if Apple exposed its Game Center data via a web api. If would be cool if I could show users their Game Center info right in my website!
Let me know folks.
I think it may still be under NDA as I had to log on to look at the game center docs...
I did find a non apple site with a getting started pdf. it contains an interesting passage:
The data maintained by the Game Center
service should only be used to provide
the services and functionality
necessary for your application, and
may not be transferred or copied to
other services. For example, you may
not download Game Center leaderboard
data to post on your app website or to
another service.

Does anyone know of any security libraries for ASP.NET web applications?
I am looking for libraries that provide basic authentication, logging into accounts, protection against SQL injection and cross-site scripting, input validation, encyrption and the like.
I have come across a library called Rhino Security. Does anyone know of any similar libraries?
Edit:
An example of another library is CryptoSharp http://www.9rays.net/Category/63-cryptosharp.aspx
Microsoft Enterprise Library: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff632023.aspx

everyone. I'm developing a meeting room reserving system with django for my company. I need a calender compontent in this system. I want to view my events in daily, weekly and monthly view, just like Google calendar. Is there any existing app helpful to me?
Django's class based views support day, month and year views out-of-the-box. We used these for a simple calendar app in a project (example), works like a charm. We used Python's calendar lib as a starting point for a generic templatetag.
I googled for a similar idea and found this: http://code.google.com/p/django-gencal/

I'm looking for web services which use GitHub's API to implement additional functionality missing the the GitHub.
Know only two of them:
CodeShelver — A service to bookmark repositories.
Calendar About Nothing — A motivating service which build a calendar of your commitment to opensource.
The question. Are there any other such services?
DocumentUp is a tool to help you build automatic documentation for your GitHub projects
GitHub Markdown Preview is a pretty useful little app to instantly preview what your GitHub flavored Markdown will look like.
Are those the type of things that you are looking for?

I am currently working on a webapp and am wondering about the trade-offs of using browserID vs OpenId.
It seems to me that many more users have accounts with google or facebook than with browserID, so it might be easier for them to login. On the other hand some people don't like logging in with their credentials on some other sites for privacy reasons.
The account creation / login flow in browserID is arguably more similar to the traditional username/password login so there might be a lower barrier to entry for some users.
In my first iteration, should I ditch everything and just use browserID? Use openID as well, or go all out and use all three methods of authentication straight away?

Im looking for a web service that can return information on a product. Much like the barcode scanning apps.
Im hoping to implement barcode scanning (which is another question entirely) which will then return a product ID or description which I can then call a webservice for to get details on the product.
Im not interested in product pricing but the actual description or type of product.
Is there anyone that knows of a web service for this kind of information?
It does not nessesarily have to be a web service, im happy to call a website if I can read information from it.
Any other suggestions would be helpful also
This is looking like a good place to start (thanks to emaillenin)
