I'm trying to compile opencv_2.4.9 with cmake_3.5.0 to run a project in Qt_5.3.2 MinGW and it keeps showing this error:

I choose "MinGW Makefiles" as generator and "specify native compilers" in configure window. I defined BOOST_ROOT environmental variable and this is my CmakeLists.txt:

So what I did to solve this was first run Cmake as

Could not find the following static Boost libraries:

boost_iostreams
I looked in that folder and sure enough I was missing the boost folders for them all.
There might be a better solution, but I just downloaded the latest version of Boost to my computer and replaced the entire C:/Program Files/PCL 1.6.0/3rdParty/Boost folder with the new one and everything worked for me
First of all, you can put
set(Boost_DEBUG ON)
before the command
FIND_PACKAGE(Boost)
This gives you some more output and helped me to find the source of other errors.
Next, I would try to set the variables BOOST_LIBRARYDIR and BOOST_INCLUDEDIR, e.g.
set(BOOST_LIBRARYDIR "C:/Program Files/PCL 1.6.0/3rdParty/Boost/lib")

That's a lot of stuff, all randomly ordered and commented out. The obvious error is a failure to link Boost System

I have installed Intel opencl sdk for windows and opencl variable are added to the environment variables. I want to use this sdk with my Clion ide which I am unable to include it in my current project since it was CL/cl.hpp not found. How can add it to my project in Clion?

It turned out that I needed to set some system variables for OpenSSL, ZLib, Boost, curl. For Zlib just do the same procedure. drescherjm was a huge help. So thanks!

Obviously CMake finds Boost as it is able to detect its version (1.62.0).
CMake uses the file FindBoost.cmake to determine what libraries to link against.
This file is updated continuously when new boost versions appear.
There, support for Boost 1.62.0 is available only for CMake >= 3.7.0.
So just update your CMake version (or just the file FindBoost.cmake) and you will be fine.

I'm trying to link up boost libraries and there's an error of linking up the 'boost_system' static library.
I use cmake 2.8, the MinGW compiler and the 1.55.0 boost.
Judging by the logs, cmake doesn't see the pathway to the libraries.

For me worked setting hint variables CMAKE_INCLUDE_PATH & CMAKE_LIBRARY_PATH. BOOST_ROOT & BOOST_LIBRARYDIR were not working also.
Another hint variables are Boost_COMPILER, Boost_NAMESPACE, Boost_ARCHITECTURE they help to define how your library is named to boost search script.
Using SET(Boost_DEBUG 1) helped me a lot do diagnose a problem -as it prints Boost path suffixes= and _boost_LIBRARY_SEARCH_DIRS_RELEASE
For example
