Add custom schedule to AWS ec2 lifecycle manager - amazon-web-services

How can I use cron expression to schedule quarterly backup? Like Backup at 12:00AM on every 1st January, 1st April, 1st July and 1st October.

Try setting up the event with this:
cron(0 12 1 1/3 ? *)
This translates to:
1/3 -> every third month
1 -> on the first day of the month
0 12 at 12 PM
One of the day-of-month or day-of-week values must be a question mark (?)
PS. Keep in mind that time is in UTC+0.

BigQuery Scheduled queries only on working days

I need a scheduled query only between Monday to Friday between 9 and 7 o'clock:
Scheduled queries is currently: every hour from 9:00 to 19:00
But how to modify for Mo-Fr ?
every monday to friday from 9:00 to 19:00 not working
every monday from 9:00 to 19:00 working (so day of the week is in general not working ?)
Thanks
UPDATE: The question at hand is much more complex than the Custom setting in BigQuery Scheduled Queries allows. For this purpose, #guillaume blaquiere has the best suggestion: use Cloud Scheduler to run a cron job. Tools like Crontab Guru can be helpful in creating a statement such as 00 9-19 * * 1-5.
For simpler Scheduled Queries, please review the following from the official documentation: Set up scheduled queries.
Specifically,
To specify a custom frequency, select Custom, then enter a Cron-like
time specification in the Custom schedule field; for example every 3
hours.
There is excellent documentation in the Custom Interval tab here on the many options you have available in this field.
thanks for the Feedback. So like this one ? But this is not working

Scheduled on the first Saturday of every month with Cloud Scheduler

I want to configure a job that runs at dawn on the first Saturday of every month through Cloud Scheduler.
Considering the Scheduler Job Frequency setting to be the first Saturday of every month, I have designated it as follows.
ex) 45 2 1-7 * 6
However, it was confirmed that the above scheduler was running on the 23rd, last Saturday.
Is it not possible to configure a monthly schedule in Cloud Scheduler?
If you could give me an answer, I would be very grateful.
I have checked these links in relation to the above.
Your current schedule, 45 2 1-7 * 6, reads as At 02:45 on every day-of-month from 1 through 7 and on Saturday. You can check it on Crontab guru.
In order to set a custom interval, you will need to use the App Engine Cron format.
In this case, try first saturday of month 02:45.

How can I run AWS Glue Crawler every 6 hours daily?

I want to run AWS Glue Crawler every 6 hours automatically daily.
Can I use Cron Expression available on Crawler as below :
Minutes Hours Day of month Month Day of week Year
* 0/6 * * ? *
You can check the expression in CloudWatch rules. The correct one is:
0 /6 ? * * *

Is it possible for GCP's "Metrics explorer" to aggregate within a fixed time range instead of the rolling window?

Is it possible for GCP's "Metrics explorer" to aggregate within a fixed time range instead of the "rolling window"?
I want to monitor the API consumption to make sure it does not reach the Quota. Then, when the limit is approached, I want to set up an alert policy in order to take measures such as applying for relaxation of the limit or reducing usage.
Let's say I have the following data points
datetime
API request count
August 1, 10:00
1
August 1, 15:00
1
August 1, 20:00
1
August 2, 01:00
1
August 2, 06:00
1
Since the API Quota is reset at 0:00 every day, I want to monitor the sum of consumption from 0:00 on one day to 0:00 on the next day. For example, I want to observe "3" as the usage on August 1, and "2" as the usage on August 2.
However, the period of aggregation in GCP's Metrics explorer seems to be "Rolling window" only. In that case, for example, "4" at 02:00 on August 2 and 5" at 09:00 on August 2 will be observed.

At what time of the day does the S3 objects get transitioned to S3-IA or Glacier

I have Object A uploaded to my S3 bucket on 2nd August 2018 at 9:00:00 AM.
Let's say i have put Lifecycle rule for the transition to Standard-IA One day after object's creation date.
Will the object A gets transitioned to Standard-IA at 3rd August 2018 at 9:00:01 AM? or it will get transitioned to Standard-IA at 3rd August 2018 00:00:01 AM?
As per AWS Documentation and Blog post and chat I once had with AWS Support team:
Expiration – Specifies an expiration period for the objects that are
subject to the rule, as a number of days from the object’s creation
date.
We calculate the expiration date for an object by adding that object’s
creation time to the expiration period and rounding off the resulting
time to midnight of that day.
AWS Calculates everything with UTC.
Let me try to explain with example :
I put an object at Aug 2,2018 9:00 AM IST that would be UTC 3:30 with one day deletion or transition criteria, So Amazon will check On Aug 3 UTC 00:00 if the criteria is met but as you can see one day is not done thus it will take no action.
Now on Aug 4 UTC 00:00 it will again check if and this time the criteria will be met and thus the object will now be deleted.
Hope this clarify!
