VSCode does not show errors in C/C++ before saving - c++

VSCode won't show me error in C++ unless I save the file or do Command Pallete -> C/C++: Run Code Analysis on Active File.
It works properly in JS and Python, so I am 100% sure that it is a language-specific problem.
For example in Python/JS
Shows me error immediately
in C/C++
Error does not show up
Error shows up only after I save/run code analysis
I turned error squiggles on and checked IntelliSense settings more than 100 times.

VS Code Error when compiling C++ Program: 'cmd' is not recognized as an internal or external command

I attempted to follow through on VS Code's method on making C++ code work on their editor. I did this successfully on my laptop but when I tried compiling it, I was met with the error:
* Executing task: C/C++: g++.exe build active file
Starting build...
C:\msys64\mingw64\bin\g++.exe -fdiagnostics-color=always -g "C:\Users\salty\Documents\Programming\C++ Scripts\myProgram\main.cpp" -o "C:\Users\salty\Documents\Programming\C++ Scripts\myProgram\main.exe"
'cmd' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Build finished with error(s).
* The terminal process failed to launch (exit code: -1).
* Terminal will be reused by tasks, press any key to close it.
This is the entire error message plus extra things in my editor.
If I try and copy and paste the command in the message into Windows Power Shell, it actually works (New .exe file appeared in the correct directory and runs without fault).
These are my environment variables for User, and these are my System variables.
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing and changing the paths around. I'm new to C++ programming and how compilers work in general, but I'm not sure why VS Studio says it doesn't recognize cmd among others it could've not recognized.
Why is it giving me this error?
Edit: I believe I didn't include a return 0; line in the program. Correcting this did not fix the issue.
I am not sure what I poked into place or if I just was too incompetent to realize something, however adding %SystemRoot%\system32 to my PSModulePath environment variables somehow fixed the issue, and since that action I have yet to replicate the compile error.
I don't know if adding that variable to my environments permanently fixed it or VS Studio needed a moment to process some things. Thanks anyways!

Why doesn't the c++ file run in visual studio

So I tried making a basic game on the console using screen buffers, I was able to create it and make a square move in the canvas, but for my next project I looked up a website with the ASCII characters and pasted a couple into a comment at the end of the c++ file, when I ran the file visual studio prompted:
I clicked yes and it didn't run anymore.
Also I recently have installed an extension for visual studio (before it didn't run, the extension works fine but I don't know if the extension may have caused this as I didn't tried running it with the extension downloaded and applied), when I open visual studio and open a file it says:
The last record in the ActivityLog xml file, has a type of error and it's description is:

I have Visual Studio 2017
So why does running the file (with the local windows debugger button) say that there were build errors? And how can I fix it?
When it prompts the build error, and I click no it usually shows the errors but in this case it doesn't, yes will just run the last "successful" build (although I haven't changed the file since I have finished it before this error message started popping up)
Also there is no error in my code as I was able to run it before the build error kept appearing and I haven't touched the file since(only now to show the problems are)
Thanks for your time! if anything was unclear because of my English, comment and I'll try to clarify it
I fixed the error by deleting ComponentModelChache folder located at:
C:\Users\%userName%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\15.0
15.0 is the version of your visual studio so it varies depending on the version you're using, %userName% is a replacement for the user you're logged in as

Error accessing program database in Visual Studio C++

I accidentally allowed an infinite loop, the computer froze, I force-restarted it. Now when I press F5 to build my C++ project, I get the following error:
Error C1301 error accessing program database C:\path\x64\Release\projectName.ipdb, invalid format, please delete and rebuild
And the said file does not even exist. I tried deleting everything in the Release folder, no luck.
How can I solve this?
Thanks in advance.
I was also faced similar type of error which says :-
"C1300 Error accessing program database... LNK1257 code generation failed"
Resolved it in the following way:
Project->Properties->Configuration Properties->General->Whole Program Optimization
set it to
"No Whole Program Optimization"
from "Use Link time Code Generation"

Netbeans IDE 8.0.2 C++ Input/Output Error

I installed netbeans C++ on windows 7 and used Cywgin4 as the compiler. When I run any program even a simple Hello world it does compile and run however I also get the error below. I can't seem to find any reference to it online. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a solution? Thanks!
read from master failed
: Input/output error
RUN FAILED (exit value 1, total time: 47ms)
I do not understand all the surrounding details of this problem as I am new to C/C++. However, if you:
Open up NetBeans
Right click on your C++ project file
Select "Properties"
There should be a category called "Run".
Under this category, find the option called Console Type and make sure that Standard Output is selected as shown in the screenshot below:
I was having the same problems when the console type was selected as Internal Terminal.
For my setup, changing this option to Standard Output got rid of this error. However, I do not fully understand how this change affects the overall properties of my project. Wish you good luck.

xcode build error

Command /Developer/usr/bin/g++-4.2 failed with exit code 1
build error
My project was working fine with no errors, and I went to run it again without changing anything and received this error (only this). Any ideas on how to fix it?
I had this error when certain .cpp files didn't exist, but it could be caused by any number of things. Clearly in your case it's something different, if you're sure you haven't changed anything in the project.
On the right of the build results list there should be a (well hidden) button with lines - that shows the raw build output, which should give you some idea about what went wrong. What does that say?
