Coldfusion - JEE Installation - JVM Arguments which and how? - coldfusion

We are trying to change how we manage our QA Enviroments.
Till now we have installed Coldfusion using the Adobe Installer that install a modified Tomcat.
We want to manage the QA server using CommandBox Tool that installs Coldfusion in JEE install mode using war file, but situation will be similar with any of the supported JEE Application Server. (EAP, Wildfly, Tomcat).
We have little experience in using Coldfusion in the JEE install mode then several questions arise regarding the JVM Settings.
Below the JVM Setting we got after install CF using the Adobe Standard installer, accessing the Coldfusion (CF) Administrator (here for a fresh installation of a CF2018):

Q1. the Coldfusion war have inside it the JVM settings (we have written above) and will apply it during deploy?
Q2. if answer to is no!, what are the settings that are applicable according the JEE Application Server used (i.e. some settings are ok for Tomcat but meaniless for wildfly).
We were able to find specific documentation from Adobe for Coldfusion 2018 (https://helpx.adobe.com/it/coldfusion/installing/coldfusion-2018-install-jee-configuration.html).
The number of settings is incredible low comparing with the standard one!:

Adobe isn't going to help you support an installation via CommandBox, you need to talk to Ortus Solutions about that. Every JVM setting available in CF Admin for Standard is not displayed in the UI for CF Enterprise. You're looking for the CF install folder for the instance you have (non-CB version), find a file called jvm.config.

Here's an example from a CB install I have on a Mac where I'm running an older version of CF that requires an older JDK, but I've also set the heapSize.

What I would suggest is
export your existing CF Admin settings to a .car file
log in to your ColdBox server's CF Admin
import the .car file
adjust all the settings (DSN, etc) for your QA server
go to the command line and install the CFConfig plugin
export all the CF Admin settings to a JSON file (instructions in their docs)
save that to a private repo or your secrets / passwords vault.

How to get a local Cloud Foundry Instance?

I’m looking to learn about Cloud Foundry and I’m trying to get a development instance of it set up on my local Windows 10 PC. But I’m not having any luck.
I’m finding a lot of information about PCF Dev which was deprecated a while ago. I also looked at the replacement for PCF Dev, CF Dev (https://github.com/cloudfoundry-attic/cfdev). Its git page mentions that its repository is no longer receiving updates. I still went ahead and tried installing it using the instructions in the README:
cf install-plugin -r CF-Community cfdev
But the link it uses to download the plugin is broken:

Can anyone recommend a way to get a development instance of Cloud Foundry set up on my local machine so I can play around with it?

Yes, steer clear of pcf-dev and cf-dev, they may still work but are definitely not getting updates so will be way out of date by now.
My understanding, although I haven't tried this process in a while, is that the way to run locally is with VirtualBox. You can run one locally using bosh-deployment & cf-deployment and Virtualbox.
For instructions installing Bosh in VirtualBox using bosh-deployment, see the Install Section to install Bosh.
With Bosh installed, follow the deployment guide to get CF installed. You can skip to step 4, since you're installing into VirtualBox. Be sure to read the entire document before you begin, however pay specific attention to this section which has specific instructions for running locally.

Blender on IBM Cloud (Cloud Foundry)

I'm currently developing a web application (Django 2.0) application.
My app will be deployed on IBM Cloud (Cloud Foundry) using python build-pack.
One of my requirements is to install blender.
Everything else is very well, but for blender installation.
What I've tried so far was:
I tried access my app using SSH connection, but surely I don't have root access to apt-get install blender!!
And tried to include blender in packages.json file and push that file using cf push my-app.
But nothing worked for me.
In another shorter question: what is the main approach in Cloud Foundry Apps to install packages like when we use apt-get install in Ubuntu / Debian.
Please correct me if I did anything wrong, or guide me with headlines to solve this problem!!
I see a couple options for you to install packages if they cannot be installed using the regular requirements file (which is the preferred way):
Download the relevant libraries and put them in subfolders of the app before pushing it. The libraries will be uploaded. That is how I would do it.
Once you have an SSH connection, use secure copy (scp) to upload the files and place them in the subfolders where they are expected.
Regarding Blender, the question is what you need in addition to having the code copied over. Does it need a running daemon? Are there more dependencies? You would need to share more information about your specific app to answer that. Maybe, packaging everything as one or more containers and run it on Kubernetes or a combination of Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes is a better way.

I have a error installing "wfastcgi 2.1 gateway for iis and python 2.7.9" in IIS, to deploy an app django in windows 10.

That looks like Web Platform Installer. That feed is not maintained anymore, and it points to files on CodePlex which no longer exist now that CodePlex is closed/archived.
We recommend you install from https://pypi.org/project/wfastcgi/ instead, using pip.

What are the necessary steps for deploying application on micro-cloud-foundry?

I want to configure the cloudfoundry environment correctly and test some small application. If any one know, please help me to configure this environment correctly and let me know any use full reference document is available for this, thanks a lot.
I have registered with cloudfoundry and got downloaded following stuffs:
1) micro-1.2.0.zip
2) VMware-Player-4.0.2-591240.x86_64.bundle
3) springsource-tool-suite-2.9.1.RELEASE-e3.7.2-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz
You have everything you need. In short you will need to:
Install Ruby and then VMC or STS plugin for CF
Install VMWare player and run the micro instance within it. Basically you will open the *.vmx file in micro through VMWare player. Your machine has to support and enable virtualization for this
Do necessary configurations and validate your CF with token received online when you created account and domain
open vmc and change target to point to local CF use command "vmc target CFM_ADDRESS"
Deploy and test your application

How do I install Jetty WTP Server Adapter for Eclipse 3.5?

Currently I am attempting to install the Jetty WTP Server Adapter for Eclipse 3.5 and get the following errors:

To install, I attempt to add a new server runtime, click 'Install Additional Server Adapters' and follow the wizard I get when I click on the Generic Jetty Server Adapter that eventually loads. I've had this error in all the RCs up to this point, but currently the active RC is RC4.
I also found the 'Download additional server adapters" route to adding the Jetty (and Glassfish) server adapters failed, with the same dependency issues as the Original Poster.
Downloading the .jar and copying it into the 'plugins' dir of my Eclipse install idd not work. The Jetty server adapter was still not a recognised installed plugin.
I had to go to "Help->Install New Software->Add..." and enter the http://www.webtide.com/eclipse site manually. Then I could see the Jetty adapter, and install it successfully. It seems to have installed into the eclipse/plugins/ rather than copied a .jar file into eclipse/plugins.
This may be what the poster on 2 Jul was trying to say, but it wasn't very clear.
I don't know why, but the "download additional server adapters" dialog hasn't worked for me once with Eclipse 3.5, the install always fails with dependency issues.
I also found I had to manually install all the WST Adapter items to get around failed dependencies, for example:
"Web, XML and Java EE Development->JST Server Adapters", "WST Server Adapters"
and also the "Database Development" items. I'm not sure which were required.. when I'd installed everything that looked likely, all my dependency issues were resolved when installing the Glassfish and Jetty server adapters from their update sites.
There's a new (official!) Jetty WTP Plugin to support Jetty 7.x and 8.x: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Jetty_WTP_Plugin
The problem could be resolved installing the JST Server UI before the Jetty Server Adapter. It is a current bug (see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=321663).
That way you can install it either as a plugin or in the servers view.
I think you need org.mortbay.jetty.serveradaptor.1.0.4.jar to install jetty adapter, download from http://www.webtide.com/eclipse , put it in plugins of eclipse.
