Migration from WiX 3 to Wix 4 (4.0.0.5918) now generating an error in Candle.exe (CNDL0200) - wix-extension

I'm a very lightweight user of WiX and could readily stay on V3 was it not for the fact that I believe it requires .net 3.5 and that seems to not to want to install on my new Win 10 development machine. So I'm looking at V4 which does not have that dependency, but is generating the following error in candle :-
error CNDL0200 : The File element contains an unhandled extension
element 'PermissionEx'. Please ensure that the extension for elements
in the 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/wix/UtilExtension' namespace has
been provided.
In my .wxs file I have :-

The command line call to candle.exe contains
-ext WixUtilExtension
Am I missing something obvious, or are there known issues with V4 that means I should pursue getting a version 3 working on my Win 10 machine ?

As of March 2019, WiX v4 is still under active development and is not recommended for anything but experimental use. A WiX v4 beta is expected later this summer.

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError with JModelica2.14

I am new to the Modelica world and installed JModelica2.14 on win10 via the binary file provided from the offical webpage. From the console I call setenv.bat, start the 64bit python envrionment and import '.\install\Python_64'. However, running the example files already throws an error. The minimal code example throwing the error is provided below. I assume that the binaries do not have a bug without anyone mentioning it. It would be great if someone could give a hint about what I am missing. Thanks a lot!

This function is only given in binary format compiled from c++ code. therefore, I can not change the function without recompiling the library (I already tried). To me it seems like the org.jmodelica.optimica.compiler.ModelicaCompiler should have been a org.jmodelica.optimica.compiler.OptimicaCompiler. This would mean that I have to install the package from source and I haven't been sucessful with that yet.
I still use JModelica 2.14 in Python 2 and then have installed virtual environment with Conda to create a Python 3 environment where I then run the FMUs with the latest PyFMI package in Python 3.10 and Jupyter notebook. It all works very fine, but as Imke Kreuger indicated you have MSL 3.2.2 build 3 and there has been development in the Modelica Standard Library since then.
During installation you are asked whether you want "Graybox OPC Automation wrapper" and I usually say "NO" there. You may have said "YES" though, right? See Chapter 2.2.1 in the User guide.
The JModelica installation actually provide you with two different compilers.
One is for standard Modelica brings as output an FMU of CS or ME type. The other compiler is for Modelica extended with Optimica and does not bring any FMU and you are bound to work in Python 2.
Tried to reproduce your error (with my installation without the "Graybox OPC..."). If I (in the Python 2 environment) literally do the two commands, I get "Press any key to continue...." and when I press key the IPython window collapse.
However if you skip the two brackets at the end of the second command, then it is accepted!
If you write a question mark at the end you get information about what arguments you should have.
If you describe better what you want to do, we likely can help you better.
Note, it seems you want to use Optimica and that is an extension of Modelica that is only partially supported by OpenModelica, what I understand. The Optimica extension is well integrated in JModelica and originated in this context. For "ordinary" Modelica use I do not think you need to use this wrapper.

The jetty files in your apacheds-service-2.0.0-M24.jar needs to be upgraded as well.
List the contents of the apacheds-service-2.0.0-M24.jar file and you'll see classes in the org.eclipse.jetty. namespace.
Those are conflicting with your efforts to upgrade Jetty via the jetty-distribution zip.
I had a different setup that triggered a similar stacktrace: using cargo-maven2-plugin 16.1 in a spring 5 project, mvn cargo:run would fail because of a conflict with javafx.base-11.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jar files.
Upgrading to cargo-maven3-plugin 1.9.9 fixed the matter.
I'd encourage who ever uses cargo-maven2-plugin to migrate to cargo-maven3-plugin as the doc states:
Please be aware that the Maven 2 / Maven 3 plugin of Codehaus Cargo has been retired with our version 1.9.0 and has been superseded by a Maven 3 only plugin.

Angular build error in core/src/render3/interfaces

While building an Angular 6 app i get a compile error in #angular/core/src/render3/interfaces on line 35. The line is:
[ACTIVE_INDEX]: number | null;
and the error is:
error TS1169: A computed property name in an interface must directly refer to a built-in symbol.
I an using #angular/core#6.1.6. Am I doing something wrong or is this an Angular bug?
Verify that Visual Studio is targeting the correct version of Typescript (as seen in your package.json), then try deleting your node_modules folder, and rerunning npm install.
I believe that this is caused by running Angular 6 with an earlier, incompatible version of typescript (<2.7), because it looks like the ability used by the container.d.ts file (referenced in your error) to use Constant-Named Properties was added in Typescript 2.7. Of course, if it were that simple then ng serve would tell you about the Typescript incompatibility, so I assume that I'm either wrong, or that your environment is playing tricks on you.

Installation of R-package "BH" not possible

I cannot install the R-package BH which I need only to install dplyr afterwards.
The download works but something is wrong with the processing afterwards, as there is no reaction or progress whatsoever. Installation of lubridate (and deinstallation of lubridate) in contrast worked smoothly without any problems.

BH, as a sizeable subset of Boost Headers is big, as in really big:

That is 111 megabytes.
You may simply have run our of patience if your Windows (network share ?) was slow in writing the files.
BH is also widely used by other CRAN packages, and there has not been a package on any of the platforms used by CRAN.
So I suggest you maybe place your R package library onto a local hard drive...
If you have an actual bug report, please consider filing an issue ticket against our BH package.
I had this problem -- there were two parts to my fix.
1/ Download the windows binary from CRAN and save to the hard disk. You then select the menu item: Packages >> Install package(s) from local files…
2/ Edit the utils:::unpackPkgZip function to increase the sleep time – so that my virus checker has time to scan it. To implement this, do the following:
trace(utils:::unpackPkgZip, edit=TRUE)
Look for the line Sys.sleep(0.5), toward the bottom of the body of the function; it's a big package so I went for Sys.sleep(10).
If you are still seeing the error: Warning: unable to move temporary installation, try a longer sleep period.
Note that you won't see the edit if you check utils:::unpackPkgZip; that is the unedited version, and it can be restored via untrace(utils:::unpackPkgZip).
So see the edited version, use body(utils:::unpackPkgZip).

That means you're using a Java version 5 compiler, but some of your class files have been compiled with Java 6. To work with Java 6 class files, you must use a Java 6 compiler. You probably have both installed on your machine, but either 1.5 is first on your PATH, or Maven is configured to use it.
