Powerbi calculate difference on two column values on Table - powerbi

I have a Table visual on my dashboard:
And i would like to calculate the difference between amount and amount2, and add an extra column to the table visual(use a measure?), it would look like this:
How to do this?
I hope you guys can help me out :)

If you drag-and-dropped those amount columns onto your table, then Power BI automatically creates an implicit measures in the background that likely looks like SUM(Table1[amount]) and SUM(Table1[amount2]). To calculate the difference, create a measure to subtract the second from the first:
Difference = SUM(Table1[amount]) - SUM(Table1[amount2])
There are other ways to write this as well. This might work too.
Difference = SUMX(Table1, Table1[amount] - Table1[amount2])

First, we have to create a relationship between tables
Then we have to create the many-one(*<->1) relation between those tables
We have to create a new column difference on today table
CDC Change = VALUE(RELATED(yesterdayDataBucketCount[KPI_Value])- todayDataBucketCount[KPI_Value])

Join 2 table in power bi

I need help on this issue as i don't have any experience in Power Bi. I want to join 2 table in Power Bi where it have the same column which is Part_Number. How can i make this 2 table to match by Part Number and return the value?

Inventory Table
I would like to have Part Number, Part Name, QTY, Total Quantity as the result. Hope that i can the clarification i need. Thanks a lot!
For this case you simply must merge the tables. It doesn't look like you have done a lot of research on the matter though, so it's hard to understand exactly what you need help with.
To merge your two tables in Power Query, I would right click in the left hand side menu and select Merge Queries as New.
After that you simply follow the on-screen instructions and select your two tables and their respective key columns. After merging you can choose to disable load of your two original tables to save space in your data model, but this depends on your requirements.
If this was my data model, I would think on why joining these tables are necessary, instead of using these two tables as fact tables, and creating a third table to handle the part number dimension with associated part metadata.

Power BI DAX - Measure to change name of row value

I need some help creating a measure to change the name of "FROM_USER" in the slicer here.
I think I need to use the function SELECTEDVALUE, but I have not managed to get it working.
So, the column has only two values, CRAWLER and FROM_USER.
Any suggestions would be helpful!
See picture
Measures can't be used as slicer values. If you want the column values to be changed and yet to be used in a slicer, you need to create a calculate column to change that.
Column = IF('Table'[Column1]="FROM_USER","desiredValue","CRAWLER")
If you are really keen on using a measure to slice, you need to build a disconnected table and follow the method described here. But the performance will take a hit depending on how complex your data model and calculations are.

Power Bi Desktop - How to add values between tables?

I'm trying to create a column that has a total of values between 3 columns from 3 tables. How would I go about doing this?
The 2 tables are tables of values that share an id, and they are both linked to a table of account by Id. The goal is to add up 3 columns, and place it into a table grouped by the Id.
I've attempted summing them, trying to use the USERELATIONSHIP function, and creating a relationship between them. It seems to give very inaccurate results, as if it's summing all of the totals together, and passing them to each Id. That, or it won't let me use the column, as if it never existed.
EDIT: General Idea of what I'm trying to do (Lines should be pointing to Account's Id column, but I messed up the lines)
EDIT 2: I also forgot to illustrate or mention. There are more columns with information in each table that can't be summarized for each account preventing me from just merging the table together.
Make sure your data model looks like this (change names as you please, but the structure must be the same):
In dimensional modeling, your table "Account" is a Dimension, and both fee tables are Fact tables. The operation of combining data from multiple fact tables that share the same dimension is called "drill-across", and it's a standard functionality of Power BI.
To combine fees from these tables, you just need to use measures, not columns. This article explains the difference:
Calculated Columns and Measures in DAX
First, create 2 measures for the fees:
Fee1 Amount = SUM(Fee_1[Amount])
Fee2 Amount = SUM(Fee_2[Amount])
Then, create a third measure to combine them:
Total Fee Amount = [Fee1 Amount] + [Fee2 Amount]
Create matrix visual, and place Account_ID from the Account table on the rows. Then drop all these measures into the matrix values area, like this:
Result:
Of course, you don't have to have all these measure in the matrix, I just showed them for your convenience, to validate the results. If you remove them, the last measure still works:

Creating a measure using DAX function Left on a table from Azure Analysis service

I am trying to get the first 4 digits from a string from a table in Power BI. The connection is a live connection / Direct which does not allow me to edit the query. Also, I am unable to create a new column. So I have to stick with creating a new Measure.
Now, I am using the following formula to get what I need.
LocationCd = mid(vw_DW_Contracts[ContractNumber],1,5)
but, this is not working a the vw_DW_Contracts table cannot be used in a measure. Is there a workaround to such problem?
I do not have access to the analysis service so cannot make any modifications in the source.
Please help.
Thanks
but, this is not working a the vw_DW_Contracts table cannot be used in a measure.
I'm not sure what you mean by this, but I'm guessing the message you see is telling you that measures expect an aggregation. The formula you posted would be great as a calculated column where it can be evaluated row by row. Measures are aggregations over multiple rows.
If you are trying to make a new field that is the location code that can be used in visuals on a categorical axis, this should be a column rather than a measure. You could write a measure to show a location cd using something like LASTNONBLANK (mid(vw_DW_Contracts[ContractNumber],1,5), 1) but I doubt that is what you want.

How to compare two columns values in the same table PowerBI DAX

I am working in a data analysis project using MS Power BI, thankfully I'm doing good work to start. However, I'm facing a little problem with DAX syntax. I come from a web development background. Anyways, my current problem is that I have rental vehicles, which can be rented from one branch and handed in at another.
I would like to compare two columns values in the same table. 'owner_branch' and 'current_branch'. Is it a good choice to create a filter with DAX? Or should I move to R Language?
If I understood your problem correct you need Calculated Column like this:
CompCol = IF ( Owner_Branch = Current_Branch, TRUE, FALSE )
as a temporary solution which I think that is not an efficient solution for a larger records in future. Anyways, my solution was creating a new column type of boolean.
