Windows Standard 2012 R2
SharePoint Foundation 2013
SQL Server 2014
I have a SharePoint Application page that is throwing the above error when clicking on any Button on the page. I even added a button with nothing in the method and still get the above error.
Note that I am NOT challenged when accessing the Application page initially and am NOT challenged when clicking the button. None of the code in the original method gets executed. In fact, it appears that the page cycle is never processed. I have logging in the method, the page_load even and in the page_unload event and nothing is logged.
The site is configured for claims authentication and I have verified that my account, application service account are both in Owners and both are admins on the box. Application Service account has SYSadmin on the SQL server (also located on the same box).
I changed SharePoint to allow access requests and to send me an email for those requests. Now the page shows:
The website declined to show this webpage
HTTP 403
Most likely causes:
•This website requires you to log in.
Any suggestions?
One more thing: this is a one-page application. There are no redirects, etc. within the page/application.
Thanks,
John
Turns out this was a permissions issue for the application service account. Never could find out specifically where but reverted to a previous service account and it works now.

I have a website with published posts, like a blog, and each post page have a Facebook like button, provided by their official documentation page. When testing, on my local environment and on my test server it works fine, but in production the buttons don't show up. In some computers they popup, but in most cases it doesn't. The iframe is generated, but blank. I'll list what I already tried:
Disabled adblock
Cleaned cache
Tried on another browsers
Tried a different DNS server (the DNS that worked on one machine didn't work on another)
Looked for errors or any hint on chrome developer console, even inside the requests made to facebook
Checked the allow-origin configs on the apache server and tried different setups
Tried both method of embedding, through iframe and script
My application needs to interact with the Google API's using some specific scopes, so I need to submit it for verification. When doing so, I use the Prepare for verification button in the screenshot below.
After completing the form, the toast message “Your app has been submitted for verification” appears and I am redirected to the same screen. However, the status "Needs verification" remains and no change is visible to indicate that my app is in the process of being verified. I am able to repeat the process without any visible change.
I submitted the application for the first time 2 weeks ago, but still no change. Is this a bug in Google's platform? How should we proceed (without having to buy a 100$/month support subscription)?
Thanks a lot
You can check your app verification status via email;
Your project's last submitted OAuth consent screen is under review. Additional information about your app, if required, may be requested via email at the email addresses you provided in the Developer contact information section of the Prepare for verification process. Expect the first email within 3-5 days.
You can find more information about this process in the Oauth Verification documentation.
If so happens that your app is a "restricted scope app" verification may take a few weeks instead of a 3-5 days.
You should have get an email with the confirmation that your app is being verified. If not try again and check your spam folder. If you aren't getting any emails then go to IssueTracker and report a bug.
I have a SharePoint 2013 server for development purposes, that runs on Win 2012. The problem is that after a period of time the anonymous authentication changes by itself.
In IIS, select the server name, than from the right panel under IIS double click Authentication. From the page that opens right click Anonymous Authentication and select Edit from the context menu.
Than will pop-up a credentials selector window.
The correct value should be first option: Specific user (IUSR account) but the option select is the second one: Application pool identity.
If I change it back to Specific user and select IUSR, after a while is back to Application pool identity.
Any ideas how can I investigate what app/software is messing up with my settings?
Have you looked at the IIS event logs or security logs?
Our desktop application integrates with Facebook using the desktop app workflow and for approx. 18 months has been working without any problems. However, we are starting to get reports from some users that they cannot get past the login process.
When the login is successful Facebook should be attaching the access_token to the redirect_uri. Our application detects this and moves the user to the main part of our Facebook integration. What appears to be happening in some situations is that the access_token parameter is missing which causes our application to leave our embedded browser window open with the following message from Facebook:
"Success
SECURITY WARNING: Please treat the URL above as you would your password and do not share it with anyone."
What is strange is that this does not occur with all Facebook accounts and which Facebook accounts it occurs with seems to be changing. For example, we had a report of this approx. 1 week ago but could not duplicate it with my own Facebook account or with a colleague's Facebook account. Today, I still cannot duplicate it with my own Facebook account but my colleague now gets the problem.
The URL our code sends to Facebook is:
https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=xxxx&redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com/connect/login_success.html&type=user_agent&display=popup&scope=read_friendlists,user_photos,friends_photos,user_photo_video_tags,friends_photo_video_tags,user_events,friends_events,user_groups,friends_groups
Reading the latest API documentation it looks like they recommend a different way to connect which we have also tried:
https://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?client_id=xxxx&redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com/connect/login_success.html&scope=read_friendlists,user_photos,friends_photos,user_photo_video_tags,friends_photo_video_tags,user_events,friends_events,user_groups,friends_groups&response_type=token
To rule out our application as the cause we have tried these URLs directly within a web browser. What we find is that when using my Facebook account the browser re-directs to the success URL that includes the access_token parameter but when using my colleague's account the browser re-directs to the success URL that includes the access_token and then immediately re-directs again to the success URL without the access_token.
so... As far as we can tell this is either:
a) A change to the API which we cannot find documented anywhere
b) A bug in Facebook
c) Something that is now controlled by the user's Facebook security settings
Is there anybody who could explain why Facebook is acting differently with different accounts and how we can go about fixing this?
Thanks.
Kevin.
I have the same problem in my desktop applications.
And I just solve it with careful reading in ht*ps://developers.facebook.com/docs/howtos/login/login-for-desktop/. The solution is to change redirect_uri from ht*p://www.facebook.com/... into ht*ps://www.facebook.com/...
Hope this will help you just like it help me
NB:
change ht*p into http
sorry i have to change the http into ht*p so that i can post the answer.
I am trying to reference my .asmx webservices in .NET but my server is not exposed to the internet. When I put on the following address I get the message mentioned below. What's the reason for not being able to see the directory? Am I missing something in my IIS configuraction? Am I missing anything in my permissions? Just as reference I have other folders with webservices and I have the same issue.
When I login to the server I am doing it with my windows user and password (I am using windows authentication). It's necessary to mention that when I put the URL I am getting a popup screen to put in my userid and password but it seems that's not able to validate since keeps asking me a couple of times. Let me know if you need more information to address this issue .

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
What you can try:
It appears you are connected to the Internet, but you might want to try to reconnect to the Internet.
Retype the address.
Go back to the previous page.
Most likely causes:
•You are not connected to the Internet.
•The website is encountering problems.
•There might be a typing error in the address.
More information
This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
•Internet connectivity has been lost.
•The website is temporarily unavailable.
•The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
•The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
•If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.
For offline users
You can still view subscribed feeds and some recently viewed webpages.
To view subscribed feeds
1.Click the Favorites Center button , click Feeds, and then click the feed you want to view.
To view recently visited webpages (might not work on all pages)
1.Click Tools , and then click Work Offline.
2.Click the Favorites Center button , click History, and then click the page you want to view.
Try http://appsvr02/DevWebApi.
You shouldn't need to specify the full path, as IIS serves from wwwroot by default.
I don't know what I did but I was able to see it this time. thank youa all for your input. This is how the path to my server shows now. http://appsvr02/DevWeApi/Owner.asmx
