Oracle APEX - Pie Chart not showing well on Mozilla Firefox - oracle-apex

I am using
- Oracle APEX 4.2.6
- Mozilla Firefox ESR 52.3.0 (32 bits)
I've developed a Pie Chart that show some functional statistics. The issue is that the Pie chart did not show very well. In fact, it shows bad on the Developement environnement, but it shows well on the Qualification environnement:
Below a screenshot of the chart on the two environnement:
1- Developpement environnement
2 - Qualification environnement
What can be the problem with this issue?
NB: it's worked well on Chrome and IE browsers. But should work too on Firefox.
Thank you in advance.

I meet the same problem a year or two ago. My research shows that it is a bug in Firefox and/or AnyChart. I saw several topics on forums (including the official Oracle forum), everywhere this reason was mentioned.
Also, take a look at this page:
Product Management investigated the issue and concluded that this is not an APEX code issue, but specific to AnyChart HTML5 charts. Hence they are internally coordinating with the AnyChart.

The issue is that I have two different versions of AnyChart in both environnements and one of them is not compatible with the FireFox version 52.3.0.
The charts with AnyChart version 6.2.0 do not show as expected in the developpement environnement. But they show well in the qualificcation env with an old AnyChart version 6.0.11
I contacted the AnyChart support, this is their last reply:
Great, now I see. Thank you for your report!
In this case, we may suggest you using version 6.0.11 in both environments.
Also, you can get AnyChart.js from the environment server where pie chart works properly and use this js in the other environment.
We will investigate this issue related to 6.2.0 version.
As AnyChart is a part of Apex, please, contact Oracle support and report this issue.
To resolve the issue, I use the same AnyChart files of qualification env in the dev env: AnyChart.js and AnyChartHTML5.js files existed in the installation directory of APEX.

Showing a white header stripe where the toolbar should be

When opening various pages of the console.cloud.google I am getting a white header stripe where toolbars should be. This issue started to occur some weeks/months ago. (See screenshot)
It seems to be a browser specific problem as I am only getting this issue when using Firefox but not with Chrome.
I am running "Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon" and "Firefox 75.0 64-Bit for Linux Mint"
This seems to be an issue with the specific version of the browser as you are mentioning. I would recommend you to open a bug to GCP over at their issues page so that they can address it.
Hope you find this useful!

Zurb Foundation Docs and Demo site - Create local copy?

Zurb broke their documentation site for V4.3.2 of Foundation. Unfortunately, I have a site using that version that can't be upgraded. I need ongoing, reliable access to see the docs and examples/demos for that version. Is there a way to install those on my own system, like Telerik allows you to do that with their controls?
That way I wouldn't have to depend on Zurb keeping the docs working for old versions of Foundation.
https://foundation.zurb.com/sites/docs/v/4.3.2/
For a short term fix I used the web archive:
https://web.archive.org/web/20161120155204/http://foundation.zurb.com:80/sites/docs/v/4.3.2/
to access the site.
Once Zurb gets their site back up, I'll update this answer if I figure out how to duplicate their doc site locally.

Sitecore Speak css and js no longer loaded

I have a Sitecore 8 Update 2 environment.
For some reason it seems that speak css and js are no longer loaded.
for example: /sitecore/shell/client/Speak/Assets/css/speak-default-theme.css
I'm not sure what caused this and have little knowledge about speak.
Any comments and feedback are wecome.

Faced the SAME issue when upgrading to sitecore 8.1 , the problem was this step -
The .Sitecore.Speak.Important.config file renamed to 001.Sitecore.Speak.Important.config , new pipelines have been added to it for speak 2.0 upgrade
Once I renamed file and ensured the pipelines were all there as per config fileinstructions(for 8.1 initial version) the styles came back.

What is the recommended approach to setup Sitecore 8.1 in Azure VM?

I am new to Sitecore administration. I wanted to setup Sitecore 8.1 in an Azure vm. I have one Azure sql vm and one vm for Sitecore. So I would like to know the best recommended approach to set up Sitecore
using Sitecore web installer
from sitecore zip
using pre defined powershell script (not very much sure about steps)
SIM
Please guide me as I am new to Sitecore administration.
Deb,
I know isn't the version that you were looking for, however you can get the idea in deal with a Sitecore installation and all its prerequistes. Please have a look here: https://sdn.sitecore.net/upload/sitecore7/70/installation_guide_sc70-a4.pdf
Based on Sitecore installation guide, I haven't seen a recommendation from them saying "install using EXE" or "install using ZIP". Actually, they show you both! Personally, I would suggest you to go through using ZIP.
Cheers,
Vinicius

Forum module for Sitecore 7.*

I'm building a website which requires forum integration to a Sitecore build - I've checked on the Sitecore website and they suggest YetAnotherForum and Telligent Community Integration Module. Both of these modules tho only support up till 6.4.1 and 6.4 respectively - I'm using Sitecore 7.0.
Logged a ticket with Sitecore and they came back with the following:
We have no information about Forum modules that are compatible with Sitecore 7.1. I would recommend you to contact your regional office and check whether they could advise you something.
Any suggestions?
First of all Telligent supports Sitecore 7.

I have been working with Sitecore and Telligent Community integration from quite time and from my experience i have this opinion.
For deep integration it is quite a lot of work and requires much knowledge of both the product and costs will be high for licensing & deployment. But i can assure you that Telligent will work in Sitecore newer version also. However with higher costs you will get more rich functionality, Facebook like Activity Stream, and Apart from Forums it also has Blogs, Wikis, Media Gallery.
Telligent supports two kind of integrations:
1. Side by Side Integration - In this Sitecore and Telligent both will be user facing.
2. Integration mode - In this user will be mostly in Sitecore.

If you are Sitecore Partner you will get trial license of Telligent. For details check 'Social Starter Kit' on Sitecore SDN site. Also there is video on YouTube regarding Sitecore & Telligent Integration in Sitecore Virtual User Group community.
I have no experience on YAF module so can't suggest on that.
Did you try to install YAF integration module, https://marketplace.sitecore.net/en/Modules/YAF_integration.aspx, i think it would run on Sitecore 7, since this module mainly integrate YAF with Sitecore security, i don't see why it should not run on Sitecore 7.
The Telligent product was renamed, I suggest you take a look at http://www.zimbra.com/products/zimbra-community/sitecore-starter.html and contact them. I'm unaware of what version they're targeted at right now.
