Creating user Story with least Rank - web-services

By Default, any user story created gets the highest Rank in an iteration. But my requirement is to add the user story at the bottom of iteration , not on Top, means with least rank. How can I manipulate the Rank of a User Story. In WSAPI 2.0 , I see there is an attribute - DragAndDropRank, but the value is not an integer and older version of WSAPI (1.3) was having Rank attribute, which can be manipulated. Any suggestions on implementing this would be helpful for WSAPI 2.0. Thanking in advance.

When you create your story you can supply rankTo query string parameter to control this:
rankTo=BOTTOM
You can also always rank an item relative to another item using the rankAbove or rankBelow query string parameters:
rankBelow=/defect/12345
rankAbove and rankBelow work on updates as well, while rankTo is only supported for creates. We should really probably document those somewhere in the WSAPI docs somewhere...

How to schedule node field from a specific content type for a particular time period in drupal 8

I am looking to hide specific field from a content type for a particular period of time to authenticated user in drupal 8.
For example - From article content type , body field should be visible after a specific date for authenticated user.
There is a module called scheduler that publish the node for particular period of time. I believe that there is no module that would do the same for the special field (at least I am not aware of it).
The simplest solution that I can think of is that you create two date fields for a selected content type (start and end date) or use one date range field. Than in twig template use the if statement that would check if current date is bigger than start date and lower than end date. I suggest using timestamp format to avoid any unexpected results. Inside the if statement put the code that render field/field value and you will get the expected result.

Updating ElasticSearch mappings field type with existing data

I'm storing a few fields and for the sake of simplicity lets call the field in question 'age'. Initially ES created the index for me and it ended up choosing the wrong field type for 'age'. It's a string type right now instead of a numeric type. I'm aware that, I should have defined the mappings myself to begin with and force the data values been sent to be consistently all strings or numeric values.
What I've right now is an index with a ton of data that uses a 'string' type for age with following values: 1, 10, 'na', etc..
Now my question is: if I were to change the mapping from string to integer, would indexing have any issues with the existing data values such as 'na' when being updated ??
I just wanted to ask first before I start creating a playground environment to test with a sample data set.
What you can update according to the doc:
new properties can be added to Object datatype fields.
new multi-fields can be added to existing fields.
doc_values can be disabled, but not enabled.
the ignore_above parameter can be updated.
Otherwise I am afraid you will have to create a new mapping and reindex your data, see this post for example

Kendo datasource and templates, specifically for Scheduler widget

I've noticed that the scheduler widget does things a bit differently from other widgets. In fact, I read in the documentation that the DS is a different one:
"http://docs.kendoui.com/api/framework/schedulerdatasource"
Anyways, on to my two questions.
when i was doing a template for the day cells, i noticed that if i used value called 'date' it would automatically use the correct date value for that day cell. But i never created this date variable, not did i include it in my datasource. So where did it come from? if its provided through framework, what other values similar to this one are available to me? where can i find some documentation on this?
For kendo widgets, when you apply a datasource and a template, it automatically maps each datasource item to one item in the widget (e.g. one row in the grid, one item in the list view etc.). its a one to one correlation. But this is not the case for the scheduler datasource since, like i stated above, it is a different type of datasource (its a schedulerdatasource). The scheduler datasource mandates that each item in the datasource have a start date and an end date so it can map it to the corresponding cell. hence, this destroys the one-to-one relationship of datasource item to day [template]. How can i revert to the behavior of the datasource with other widgets? do i have to somehow configure it to overwrite the schedulerdatasource to the original datasource? i want to preserve the correlation behavior of 1-to-1 between my datasource and my day template.
just to give a generic example of what i am trying to accomplish with this, imagine that instead of doing entrys with time slots, i want to instead have my scheduler display daily summaries of how many hours i worked out, how many calories i ate, amount of hours i slept etc. But i do not want to associate those amounts with hours in the day.

Sorry that was technically more than two questions.
But thanks in advance!

Straight to your questions:
The options available in the eventTemplate are listed in the documentation.
The SchedulerDataSource does one thing more than the regular DataSource - it expands recurring events. This means that for one event which says repeats two days the SchedulerDataSource creates two data items - one for each day. If you don't have any recurring events then you would have the one-to-one mapping. The scheduler can only be bound to a SchedulerDataSource instance (it will throw an exception otherwise).
It looks that the scheduler may not be the widget you are looking for. If you just want to display a list of items the ListView or Grid widgets may be a better fit.

Oracle ApexCreate Time field HH:MM

I am having difficulty with a duration field on my form/table.
The users need to indicate in HH:MM how long a meeting took.
What datatype should the column have in the Table. Currently it is TIMESTAMP
How can I make the field have an input mask of 'HH:MM'. What I would like is for the user to be able to type '0130' and the field format it to '01:30' immediately.
Reporting on these times is required so I assume that entering the data as VARCHAR will not help.
Honestly, this is not such an easy subject as people might think it is, and probably more from a user interface point of view than technically.
The easiest way out? The apex datetimepicker. And honestly, if you're new to the technology I'd advise you to use this, especially if you want to steer clear from javascript/jquery initially.
Let's put it this way: the datepicker is fine and works good, but time is really not that fantastic.
Not all that hot right. The value in the input item does not change until you hit 'Close'. The time component seems like a last second sloppy addition honestly. It works, however. (But I'd still set the field to readonly so that a user can not enter text directly.)
Allowing text to be entered means it needs to be validated according to the correct format mask. And format masks differ between those in jQuery (the datepicker) and those in Oracle, and it might be possible that your oracle format mask is not possible in the datepicker, adding even more complexity. There is also no 'live' date validation (nor datetime), there is only the builtin item validation which will check the format mask and which fires on submit.
Anyway, I'd say take a look at it. Set your item to be displayed as a Date Picker, and use the format mask under settings to get the datetime picker:
Now you can push it further of course, though it'll cost some effort. There are several options though.
Personally, when I've implemented date+time I've always split the date from the time in 2 fields. 1 with the date component, and one with the time component, while keeping the item with the original value hidden (so 3 items total). I then use the datepicker on the date item, and use jquery timepicker plugins on the time item. On submit I then add the 2 values together and parse them in a date, and put this value in the original item again (to allow the standard processing to work on items with source set to database column).
One example of a timepicker is here, another one here. They're both not that hard to implement. They have good documentation too. I don't want to dive in the implementation of it here though, I advise you take a look at it first and see how much it scares you. (I'd set up an apex demo but am a bit pressed for time at the moment).
For example, using Trent's (second link) plugin:
put the js file in the apex images directory. I made a folder "/custom" in my case
add the required js files to the page (assuming apex 4.2, put this in javascript file urls)
#IMAGE_PREFIX#libraries/jquery-ui/1.8.22/ui/jquery.ui.slider.js
#IMAGE_PREFIX#custom/jquery-ui-timepicker-addon.js
use onload code such as this to initialize a field
$("#P95_DEPARTURE_TIME").timepicker({hourGrid: 4,minuteGrid: 10});
It'll end up looking as this:
Any further interaction between pickers will need to be handled in javascript code if you want it live. Don't forget server validations.
As for items, my hidden date item has format mask DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI. Format masks are important, because items are bind variables, and bind variables are varchar2. The value in the html form is also just that, text.
For example, this is on my displayed date item, with a similar setup for the time item:
Then in an after-submit computation I glue the values together again and put them in the m that'll save the value to the database:
:P95_DEPARTURE_DATE_DISP||' '||:P95_DEPARTURE_TIME
This is just a short guide on the setup though, but might be interesting once you're a bit more familiar with the product.
There are also 2 timepicker plugins on apex-plugin, but honestly I don't find them interesting at all when compared to these already existing fine jquery plugins.
Give it some thought and look at it.
If quarters are enough..
item: text field with autocomplete
SELECT ss|| ':' || dd ss_dd
FROM
(SELECT to_char(trunc(sysdate)+(level - 1)/ 24,'HH24')ss
FROM dual CONNECT BY level <= 24),
(SELECT lpad(mod(15 * level, 60), 2, '0') dd
FROM dual CONNECT BY level <= 4)
APEX 4.2: Just to shed some light for any future viewings; now there are loads of Apex plugins for the purpose of picking Date/Time or both returning variations of date time formats as you would required. For e.g. as in your case HH:MM or HH24:MI.
I have personally used TimePicker plugin from http://www.apex-plugin.com which I have no problem in recommending.

Is there a table which holds all possible states of a determined work Item type in TFS?

I'm developing a Time Tracking system in TFS so we can control how much time is spent in each task. I'm doing it by checking changes in work items states, and recording the time between states.
I'm using WCF and TFS2010 alert subscription.
Then I noticed the State column in the WorkItem table holds a string, instead of an ID pointing to a State.
With that in mind, I noticed I would have to parse each state and check if it corresponds to some string. And then, some day, someone might want to change the State name. Then we're doomed.
But before I hardcore (or put in some random config.xml)... let me ask, is there a table which holds all possible states of a determined work Item type in TFS?
The states of work item types are stored in the process template files. You can export the work item type to an xml file using witadmin.exe and see the allowed values of the "State" in there.
Programmatically, you can use the Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.Client namespace to get the WorkItemType object of your work item type, look for the FieldDefinition object of the "State" in the FieldDefinitions property, then get the possible states from the AllowedValues property of FieldDefinition class.
