How to use 2 fonts in WebStorm at once? Currently you can set the primary font and a secondary font, which is going to be used if primary is unavailable. Some themes, like this one: https://github.com/SintrumIT/oceanic-next-italic
are using 2 fonts.
One as the main and another as the italic for attributes.
If you want to simulate operator mono you can use one font as primary and another one as italic for attributes.
I'm using input mono, which doesn't fit to be the italic for the attributes. I need another font, but I can only use the primary font here. Is there a workaround or some setting to use several fonts while customizing the theme?
There is already an issue for that. So whoever need this exact feature - go vote for it!
Not currently possible; please vote for IDEA-161729 to be notified on any progress with this feature

I'm able to set the font used to draw the drop-down part of a CMFCToolBarComboBoxButton combo box which is embedded in a CMFCToolBar toolbar. However, I'm not able to set/change the font used for the edit field control which is part of the combo box. I.e., when the combo box is collapsed the currently selected item is always drawn with the standard/default font no matter what font is used for the entries when expanding the box.
I successfully change the font of the drop down box part by using a pointer to the underlying CComboBox object retrieved via CMFCToolBarComboBoxButton::GetComboBox() (and then via CComboBox::SetFont(...)). But when using the method CMFCToolBarComboBoxButton::GetEditCtrl() to obtain a pointer to the edit control part (in order to change its font, too) this method always returns a nulltpr. Does anybody know why or more importantly: What is the correct way to set the font used for the edit control part of the box?
I've searched the web now quite a lot but cannot find a solution to the problem. Thanks for any advice!
Additional note: I need to change the used font(s) at run time in my MFC application.
OK, I finally came to the conclusion that it's better to leave these fonts up to the OS settings anyway and not explicitly set them by the application code.
This is not a technically correct answer to the (my own) question, certainly, but may be a good advide for others chasing the same problem.
I'm writing a GUI using QT for embedded system with linux. This device has no mouse. Only display and specific keyboard with keys: up, down, return and 7 number keys.
The software will be used to set some parameters of device and read them (some charts also).
Example of how menu could look:
after OPTION 1 selected
After SUBOPTION 1 selected some table with data is loaded.
Sometimes after selecting option i need to load specific widget and sometimes just another set of options.
I think it is possible to implement custom labels and kind of list widget that aligns them.
I guess it is also possible to use Qt's MVC classes for it. They are highly customizable, but i never made custom views and delegates.
Maybe i just need to create QtListView with stringlist model and apply stylesheet to it so it gets look more like buttons. And based on selection in list load next widget.
Which way is better and why?
Is there any easier ways to accomplish this?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
I tried to include the VScrollbar/ HScrollbar. where i have placed the group of static text control[ i have to place around 10 static text ] in the group. But i unable to do.Even I will be happy if you can able to suggest any other way to place the Text control's and can be able to implement the scrollbar
I am using VS 2013 professional.
Thanks
Thanks for your reply. I feel sorry for not replying for your questions.
I implemented using custom draw clistctrl.
My job is to group list of static control and change the color based on the condition.
Initially I thought I should create individual control for everything and change the color based on the color control.
But I got the idea that how to use the clistctrl for my use.
Now I place all the texts in clistctrl and changing the color based on the condition.
Thanks
I've found no other stackexchange site to ask this question so I present it here. If there's a more appropriate place for it please let me know.
I have just been given a ms-powerpoint template document to fix. It was created by designers using the slide master editor in MS-Office 2011 for Mac. The problem is that when the customer creates a new slide using one of these templates and then wants to insert a chart into one of the designated boxes (which is only one of the things that can be stuck in there) the text in the chart is always set at 18pt. I've looked everywhere for a setting that sets the default font size for charts (and smart art) for only that document but have been unable to find it.
Any pointers or help of any kind would be more than great.
I received the following answer from James Gordon from a Microsoft forum:
Charts are handled by Excel. In Excel you can create Chart Template,
which are saved in (.crtx) file format and will appear in the Ribbon.
The way to do it is to customize a chart and then right-click on the
chart. Use the Save As Template option from the pop-up menu. If you
save your template in the Chart Templates folder (the default when the
save dialog opens), after you quit and then re-open Excel, the
template will be available to you in the Ribbon.
SmartArt is within your PowerPoint presentation. There are various
approaches you might take regarding SmartArt. As you pointed out,
SmartArt can be specified in a Slide Master, or on Slide Design.
Saving a presentation as a Theme (.thmx) is one option. Another save
option is to save as a Template, which is more comprehensive (includes
every aspect of a slide show).
I'm making a game GUI API. It is coming along very nicely except for one aspect. I want themes similar to how GTK works. The way I want it to work is that every GUI element will have a default Windows9X-like way of drawing themselves. If it is found that a theme is set for that type of widget, it will be drawn with those bitmaps.
My original concept was to create a Theme class which would have getters and setters for the bitmaps.
for example:
themeManager.setButtonHover(Bitmap *bitmap);
The problem with this, is that it is not flexable if I want to create new types of Widgets. I may eventually want to create a superButton which would use a different theme than a button. This is the flaw with that concept. The concept I'm thinking of going with is that each widget type has static methods to set the theme for itself and the constructor uses that.
Are there better ways of doing this that I'm not thinking of? Since it is an API, I want to avoid reading text files, so reading the theme from a text document is not an option.
Thanks
May be template the superButton on a policy and then have a default policy which does the default and the user has the option of providing a different policy? The policy could then define the attributes of the button (such as the hover image etc.) - does what I describe make sense?
