error on installing language-check packages to python 2.7 environment - python-2.7

I am having problem of installing python package language-check to my python 2.7 environment.
I tried the pip install language-check --upgrade command but it was no avail. It gave my error saying "Command "python setup.py egg_info" failed with error code 1 in /private/var/folders/fn/g0nd0gb54d5c__5fjhb7rp0w0000gn/T/pip-build-zMuFbc/language-check/". I have problem of understanding what it is saying. If you know what it is saying, please give me a hint on how to fix it.
I also tried to download the laguage-check tar.gz to my mac, gunzip it, ran tar -xwf command on it, went to language-check directory and ran setup install but it did not work either . It gave me an error saying "error in language-check setup command: package_data must be a dictionary mapping package names to lists of wildcard patterns". So if you know how to fix the problem, please let me know.
Thank you so much in advance,
Tom

I found alternative: pip install --user --upgrade grammar-check

Missing pip in python 2.7?

I am attempting to install a module (requests) in python 2.7.4 but am unable to do so because apparently I don't have pip installed? I tried to run "python pip --version" in CMD to check for it and got nothing in return except that pip is not a recognized command.
Have been googling the past 20 minutes and have tried each suggestion to no avail. Sorry for the stupid question but this is quite infuriating.
Python 2.7 must be having pip pre-installed.
Try installing your package by:
Open cmd as admin. (win+x then a)
Go to scripts folder: C:\Python27\Scripts
Type pip install "package name"
Note: Else reinstall python: https://www.python.org/downloads/
Also note: You must be in C:\Python27\Scripts in order to use pip command, Else add it to your path by typing: [Environment]::SetEnvironmentVariable("Path","$env:Path;C:\Python27\;C:\Python27\Scripts\", "User") For New versions
Older versions of python may not have pip installed and get-pip will throw errors. Please update your python (2.7.15 as of Aug 12, 2018).
All current versions have an option to install pip and add it to the path.
Steps:
Open Powershell as admin. (win+x thena')`
Type python -m pip install <package>.
If python is not in PATH, it'll throw an error saying unrecognized cmd. To fix, simply add it to the path as mentioned above.
The new version of python is already contains pip. I feel that you yet not set the environment path. just set environment path and try again.
If the issue still exists you just install pip using typing the following command in CMD
python -m pip install.
According to this answer
Good news! Python 3.4 (released March 2014) and Python 2.7.9 (released December 2014) ship with Pip.
so perhaps updating to 2.7.9 will solve your problem. Or you could follow some of the other suggestions in that answer to install pip manually.
For Ubuntu
sudo apt install python3-pip
or
sudo apt install python-pip
Try this instead, if you are using windows OS type in command line ".\pip " and whatever command you want to use after, it can be install uninstall etc.

Error while running PIP command "no module packaging exists"

I have tried many approaches in resolving this issue but still cannot resolve it can someone please help me.
when I try to run the pip to install any new package it is ending in error with the message no module named packaging.version. This is happening in the __init__.py file where there are import command import packaging.version.
I tried to install the packaging package by using the command pip install packaging even that ended in failure with the same error.
Then I tried to install this package using the apt-get command
sudo apt-get install python-packaging but it ended saying could not find the package.
Finally I tried to update the setuptools package to version 33.1.1 as a part of the previous solutions approaches, but can't do it with pip(same issue as above) so I used the apt-get command
sudo apt-get install setuptools=33.1.1 but it is saying no package with this version found error.
I am out of ideas can someone please help. Appreciate your help.
I believe that your version of pip is obsolete. Try running pip install --upgrade pip.
If you cant do it (still the same error), I'd suggest to reinstall pip.
You can do it with get-pip.py file. Here you can find a quick guide: Installing pip setuptools and wheel.
You may also be able to reinstall it with python -m pip install -U pip.

pip not working on windows python 2.7.9

I've installed Python 2.7.9, which comes with already bundled with pip. I've check that it's there in the modules list.
But when I run pip install
I get
SyntaxError: invalid syntax
With install highlighted as the error?
What am I doing wrong?
Seems like you are running pip install from Python interactive console. Instead, you should run it from Windows console (cmd or PowerShell):
python2.exe -m pip install <package_name>
Where python2.exe is executable for Python2.7.9 (you may need to include full path to the executable file) and <package_name> is the name of package you want to install
Append C:\Python27\Scripts;in PATH variable
where C:\Python27\Scripts; is the path where pip script is located.
I faced the same issue and got to know that the error is because it is not able to find the pip.exe to execute.
You need to check the path : C:\Python27\Scripts
There, you will find the .exe file and if you run the command from that folder, the command should not give you the error or while running the command, please provide entire path instead of just pip command.
just put python before pip
python pip install <package_name>
To install try the following command:
python.exe -m install web.py
what i would suggest is navigate to the location where pip is located and try with the following command :
Pip install

Probably you want to install Python Modules? I really did many tries, So Finally reached on point to install Python3.6. It offers most easiest way to install it's modules, Try this way
https://stackoverflow.com/a/46652413/8145641
Soon's anwser worked for me, with slight difference, without 2 after python:
python.exe -m pip install <package_name>
What I don't understand, is that this should be equal to the command in interactive console as following, isn't it ?
pip -m install <pachage_name>

Trouble install PIP Windows

I have read posts on here but something doesn't seem to work. I am new to Python dev. I am running windows 7 64bit.
I am trying to install pip which I have downloaded and have easy_install in my c:\python27\scripts directory. When I use powershell and type
"python easy_install pip"
I get the error message:
"can't open file easy_install": [Errno 2] No such file or directory.
This seems odd as I can see the easy_install.exe is in that directory.
I have added c:\python27\scripts to my system PATH but, to be honest, I am not sure if this is right.
Could someone please help?
Thank you.
The selected answer dint fix it
This did:
python -m pip install -U pip
The best way to fix this is to compile easy_install yourself. First download the source code, and then compile it using python.
1 - Go here.
2 - Then extract the file, using 7-zip, or any software that can unzip a tar file. This is a tar.gz file, so after one extraction, it will give you the tar file, and then it will give you the actual directory and files for setup tools
3 - Go into the directory where you stored the contents of the extraction (using command prompt). For example, if you stored the directory on your desktop, you cd Desktop and then you go
cd dir_where_easy_install_is.
4 - Then run this command python setup.py install
That will install easy_install for you.
5 - Go back to your command line again, and then just type in easy_install pip, and that will install pip.
Then go ahead, and test it out, by installing django, just go into your command prompt, and enter this pip install django. After the download and the install, type in pip list, and see if django is in there. If it is, then pip has been successfully installed.
This worked running python from it's main dir against the easy_install.py in the extracted setuptools directory.
Then pip files should be in the Scripts dir.
Don't forget to run your CMD as administrator.
