How can I personalize a list within ServiceNow?
I mean, I have this list:
But I think its very confusing to see the position on the right side.. How can I center it?
Like CSS customization or JS or something like that.. where can I find the customization form?
You can customise the position of the field content by using Field Styles.
If you mean customising the position of the field header, I have had a play around with doing this and I seem to have got it working.
If you inspect the HTML of the column header you want to target (the th tag), you'll see that there's an attribute on it called glide_type which contains in it the type of column. You can use this to create a CSS rule to target only headers of a particular type.
For example, I have a field of type decimal, and the th tag has the following attribute:glide_type="decimal". So to target that element, I could create a CSS rule like the below:
th.text-align-left.list_header_cell[glide_type="decimal"] {
text-align: right;
}
The hacky part is including that CSS so that it applies throughout the SN interface. You can use a UI Script to run some JavaScript which includes the Style Sheet. So if you put the above CSS inside a new Style Sheet (navigate to Content Management > Design > Style Sheets), and copy that new Style Sheet's Sys ID, you can create a UI Script with the below in it to include that Style Sheet on all pages:

After doing that, you'll see that the Style Sheet is getting loaded on all pages, and if you've written your CSS right then you should find that the column header is now right-aligned!
As #Kirk said, performing this kind of customisation will mean that it's hard for ServiceNow Customer Support to assist if there's something you've customised getting in the way of their troubleshooting. Take this into account if you decide to implement something like this, and also thoroughly test this on a non-production instance.
In addition to the above, this solution may break in future releases as ServiceNow may decide to change the way that lists work and thus the CSS selector may no longer target the right/any element.

It's not suggested to customize any sort of CSS or JS with that, we were told that is voids your support for that section if you do so.
You could just add a few more display fields if you really desire to remove the extra white-space.
For a complete description of that (which you may know how to do):

Then select some relevant fields from the Available section, and click the Right arrow to add them.

We have a requirement to implement tooltips for words that are authored in Sitecore RTE.
The idea behind is that user should be able to hover over the word and see it's description/meaning.
Is this possible to achieve in sitecore? Did a quick search on marketplace but could not find any modules.
Below are some options to consider for achieving what you described.
Inject Tooltip HTML in a renderField pipeline
In this option, you would extend the renderField pipeline. First, you will need to ensure that you are dealing with a rich-text field, and if so, locate terms and replace them with the necessary markup that is required for the tooltip. This could be as simple as wrapping the word in an <abbr> or perhaps a <span> element with a CSS class. The list of terms and tooltip content could be sourced from items in Sitecore or a custom Sitecore Dictionary. Caching the terms would be essential as this pipeline processor is invoked frequently every time a field is rendereded.
Progressive enhancement with JavaScript
This approach is almost entirely based on the client-side. Terms could be located and replaced fairly easily with the help of JQuery. If the list of terms is of a reasonable size, they could be bootstrapped into a JavaScript variable. Once terms are located and enhanced, a separate, asynchronous call to a REST endpoint could be made when hovering or clicking the term. The API would accept a term and respond with the term's definition.
HTML Snippet in RTE Editor
Sitecore RTE editor can be extended with additional buttons. One of these options allows you to insert predefined snippets of HTML. The RTE editor also has a setting to specify a CSS file to style the content within the field (<setting name="WebStylesheet" value="/css/yourstylesheet.css" />). Styling would be necessary in order to target the description markup and make it visible to be edited, whereas, on the public site, the description markup would normally be hidden by default until the term is clicked on or hovered over.

So I am rather new to sitecore, and it's a topic that wasn't covered during my training. My questions is just to help point me to the correct term, or documentation on a method to do the following.
I have a definition item, with a ton of field groups, what I want to do is something like:
if Value of Field X is "yes" then collapse/hide Field X or Field Group X.
Does that make sense? Is it a validation rule? or some other kind of rules, is it a workflow I need to attach? Do you place it on just the field I want to hide, or the field that triggers the action?
I appreciate any guidance.
There is nothing out-of-the-box in Sitecore to achieve what you want but there is no reason you cannot create a composite custom field type to do this. The following articles will help you achieve this:

Create a new control, inheriting either from Droplist (if the comparison of the value is to be text based) or Droplink (for comparison of ID). You could add a parameter in the Source field of the control to specify what the values that trigger the hide should be.
The underlying control in the Content Editor is just a standard HTML select element. Add onchange events to the control and add your Javascript handler to hide the other controls. Since I could not find a way of adding additional custom css classes to the Sitecore controls, it would be best/easiest to hide all other controls in the same collapsible group after you control. This would mean you would need to group your controls better (or logically at least).
The Javascript will be something like this (the Content Editor uses the Prototype JS framework):

You can test this by running the above in the console, change out the keyword this with the id of your field, e.g. $('FIELD2292054').
What I am not sure about is how to trigger the hide on initial load, i.e. when someone returns to an existing item, it may be possible by adding to one of the pipelines, but would be better using a JS solution if possible. I'll have a think about this and get a proper code sample up over the next few days.
EDIT: You can add an event handler to sc:contenteditorupdated to handle the content editor being rel-oaded.

Not sure if you have come across Andy Uzick's this blog post.
He wisely talks about hiding fields in the Content Editor and has also created a Sitecore Module called Hide Field Template Extension which is hosted on the Sitecore Marketplace with the full source code to extend.
After reading through and trying the extension, I do feel that it will not completely resolve your issue (how you have described it in the question).
But it will give you:
A mid-term solution to hide a few unnecessary field that some content editors would not like to view.
Fields that are only required by administrators for admin purpose - to de-clutter these fields could be hidden.
Just one thing to bear in mind that it mentions in the requirements Sitecore 6.5 & 6.6. I have not tested it in Sitecore 7. If you are using Sitecore 7, which I think you are, one could modify the source code and make it work for Sitecore 7.

I was trying to move components in Page Editor mode , and below are the things I have done to achieve this :
Set Compatible rendering selected for the Sublayouts
Added placeholder settings and allowed controls for placeholders
But , when I was trying to move components, the DataSourceItems for the sublayouts are not changing , hence the content is not changing.
And , also sometime I am getting Field related errors if the fields are different in the DataSources.
Can someone please help me in this .
From your question, it sounds like you are trying to move a component from one placeholder to another in Page Editor. That does not affect the data source.
If instead you mean you are trying to personalize the experience by using rules to switch the data source within a sublayout, the steps you've taken won't allow for that. You need to add conditions to the sublayout in Page Editor to choose which data source you want to display.
If you are trying to have compatible renderings (different sublayouts) show for the same placeholder, that is something that is done by your step 1. This is only to help authors know what other sublayouts would be a good idea to put in that placeholder. It does not affect the data source.
When you add components, the datasource for them is not set automatically. You need to check if it's set and use Sitecore.Context.Item if it's not.

Let's say I wanted to showcase 2-3 clickable buttons on my homepage which will be there permanently. These are links to the css, html, and javascript tag listing pages.
Is it fine to just hardcode href=/tags/css and href=/tags/html right in my django templates/view?
I won't change them for at least a year or so, meaning I don't think I need to add a column to the tags table to distinguish them - is this common or should I try to make it somewhat dynamic? These tags are in a table but so are 1000 other tags.
Just remember to document that you did it in some place obvious, like in tagging/views.py, or maybe you have an equivalent of my When_Peter_Gets_Hit_By_A_Bus.txt, in which I document all of these types of optimizations. No, I really do have a file like that for each of my customers.
I purchased a template / theme from RocketTheme, but I can't figure out how to add content at a specific position.
The templates have "module positions" that collapse. I'd like to add some content at one of the module positions.
If I add articles, they seem to go into "mainbody". But I'd like to have content in other areas of the template.
How do I take some text, images, or other content, and get them to display in these other positions (i.e., TOP-A, or FEATURE-A, etc)?
I've tried this
Go to Extensions->Module Manager
Select "New", Select "Sections"
Under "Details", I select Position->Top-A
I give it a title.
Nothing seems to happen. I don't see anything new exposed in the admin UI, and I don't see a way to get any content into this newly defined section. What am I not understanding?

you create and save an article. Make sure it is saved to a section or category on your menu
open the module one of the paramaters will ask for the article id...decide which position and which pages you want it on and then publish.
You can also get modules that will take some or all of your articles in a category and then show them either as a slidedhow or one randomly when someone visits the page
