I have been trying to find out the issue faced for some documents while uploading in libraries using list.asmx service in web application.
The steps i follow:
Uploads document using copy service.
Update uploaded document properties.
I am facing issue for some documents while updating their properties. I don't know whether it is document size or document type which is causing problem.
If i say it is document size or type, it might be wrong as i have uploaded similar document with same type and larger size with no exception.
Following the code i am using to update document's properties.
XmlDocument doc = new XmlDocument();
XmlElement batch = doc.CreateElement("Batch");
batch.SetAttribute("OnError", "Continue");
batch.SetAttribute("ListVersion", "1");
batch.SetAttribute("ViewName", viewname);
batch.InnerXml = "<Method ID='1' Cmd='Update'>" +
"<Field Name='ID'>" + id + "</Field>" +
"<Field Name='" + columnName + "'>" + colValue + "</Field></Method>";
XElement xElement = Utility.ToXElement(batch);
//ListsSoapClient object
var proxy = Utility.GetServerListProxy();
proxy.UpdateListItems(listname, xElement);
Exception is
Fault exception details:
Cannot access a closed Stream.
Thanks in advance.
Later i figure out that, the document i was trying to upload has some weird characters other than special characters in file properties attributes.
So after removing those characters, it is working fine.

I created a Google Form with a linked Google Spreadsheet. I would like that everytime someone submits the form, the spreadsheet is copied to an s3 bucket in AWS. To do so, I just got started with Google Scripts. I managed to get the trigger part working on form submit but I am struggling to understand the readme of this GitHub project to upload to s3.
function setUpTrigger() {
ScriptApp.newTrigger('copyDataS3')
.forForm('1SK-2Ow63vs_TaoF54UjSgn35FL7F8_ANHDTOOiTabMM')
.onFormSubmit()
.create();
}
function copyDataS3() {
// https://github.com/viuinsight/google-apps-script-for-aws
// I do not understand where should I place aws.js and util.js.
// Should I do File -> New -> Script file and copy paste the contents? Should the file be .js or .gs?
S3.init("MY_ACCESS_KEY", "MY_SECRET_KEY");
// if I wanwt to copy an spreadsheet with the following id, what should go into "object" below?
var ssID = "SPREADSHEET_ID";
S3.putObject(bucketName, objectName, object, region)
}
I believe your goal as follows.
You want to send Google Spreadsheet to s3 bucket as a CSV data using Google Apps Script.
Modification points:
When I saw google-apps-script-for-aws of the library you are using, I noticed that the data is requested as the string. I thought that in this case, your CSV data might be able to be directly sent. But for example, when you want to sent a binary data, it will occur an error. So in this answer, I would like to propose the modified script of 2 patterns.
I thought that the situation might similar to this thread. But I noticed that you are using the different library from the thread. So I post this answer.
Pattern 1:
In this pattern, it supposes that only the text data is sent. It's like the CSV data in your replying. In this case, I think that it is not required to modify the library.
Modified script:
S3.init("MY_ACCESS_KEY", "MY_SECRET_KEY"); // Please set this.
var spreadsheetId = "###"; // Please set the Spreadsheet ID.
var sheetName = "Sheet1"; // Please set the sheet name.
var region = "###"; // Please set this.
var csv = SpreadsheetApp
.openById(spreadsheetId)
.getSheetByName(sheetName)
.getDataRange()
.getValues() // or .getDisplayValues()
.map(r => r.join(","))
.join("\n");
var blob = Utilities.newBlob(csv, MimeType.CSV, sheetName + ".csv");
S3.putObject("bucketName", "test.csv", blob, region);
Pattern 2:
In this pattern, it supposes that both the text data and binary data are sent. In this case, it is required to also modify the library side.
For google-apps-script-for-aws
Please modify the line 110 in s3.js as follows.
From:
var content = object.getDataAsString();
To:
var content = object.getBytes();
And, please modify the line 146 in s3.js as follows.
From:
Utilities.DigestAlgorithm.MD5, content, Utilities.Charset.UTF_8));
To:
Utilities.DigestAlgorithm.MD5, content));
For Google Apps Script:
In this case, please give the blob to S3.putObject as follows.
Script:
S3.init("MY_ACCESS_KEY", "MY_SECRET_KEY"); // Please set this.
var fileId = "###"; // Please set the file ID.
var region = "###"; // Please set this.
var blob = DriveApp.getFileById(fileId).getBlob();
S3.putObject("bucketName", blob.getName(), blob, region);

I know doc.Save() function save all page in one HTML file.
doc.RenderToScale() function save each page to the independent image file.
but i want read or save each page in independent HTML file,I had not idea,can you help me?
You can use the following code sample to convert each page to HTML or any other format supported by Aspose.Words.
String srcDoc = Common.DATA_DIR + "src.docx";
String dstDoc = Common.DATA_DIR + "dst {PAGE_NO}.html";
Document doc = new Document(srcDoc);
LayoutCollector layoutCollector = new LayoutCollector(doc);
// This will build layout model and collect necessary information.
doc.updatePageLayout();
// Split nodes in the document into separate pages.
DocumentPageSplitter splitter = new DocumentPageSplitter(layoutCollector);
// Save each page to disk as separate documents.
for (int page = 1; page <= doc.getPageCount(); page++)
{
Document pageDoc = splitter.getDocumentOfPage(page);
pageDoc.save(dstDoc.replace("{PAGE_NO}", page+""));
}
It depends on 3 other classes, which you can find in this zip file.

I am trying to delete a file from a sharepoint document library.
My application is in C#, which uses the web services of sharepoint.
Would like to know how this can be done.
Thanks in advance.
Delete a Document in SharePoint using Web Services
1.Add Web Reference to http://[your site]/_vti_bin/Lists.asmx
2.You need Document ID, Library Name, and Url to the document to be deleted
var spWebServiceLists = "http://[your site]/_vti_bin/Lists.asmx";
var listService = new Lists
{
Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials,
Url = spWebServiceLists
};
string id = 10;
string library = #"Shared Documents";
string url = #"http://[your site]/Shared Documents/Test.docx";
string xml = "<Method ID='1' Cmd='Delete'>" +
"<Field Name='ID'>" + id + "</Field>" +
"<Field Name='FileRef'>" + HttpUtility.UrlDecode(url) + "</Field>" +
"</Method>";
/*Get Name attribute values (GUIDs) for list and view. */
System.Xml.XmlNode ndListView = listService.GetListAndView(library, "");
string strListID = ndListView.ChildNodes[0].Attributes["Name"].Value;
string strViewID = ndListView.ChildNodes[1].Attributes["Name"].Value;
/*Create an XmlDocument object and construct a Batch element and its
attributes. Note that an empty ViewName parameter causes the method to use the default view. */
System.Xml.XmlDocument doc = new System.Xml.XmlDocument();
System.Xml.XmlElement batchElement = doc.CreateElement("Batch");
batchElement.SetAttribute("OnError", "Continue");
batchElement.SetAttribute("ListVersion", "1");
batchElement.SetAttribute("ViewName", strViewID);
/*Specify methods for the batch post using CAML. To update or delete,
specify the ID of the item, and to update or add, specify
the value to place in the specified column.*/
batchElement.InnerXml = xml;
XmlNode item;
item = listService.UpdateListItems(library, batchElement);
I just tested this code and works well.

If you work with SharePoint 2010, you can use CSOM to access SharePoint web services. This link could be helpful to execute crud operations. If you work with SharePoint 2013 there is also CSOM API, it has similar funcitonality as in 2010.
I am hoping someone can help get me in the right direction...
I am using Powerbuilder 12 Classic and trying to consume a Oracle CRM OnDemand web service.
Using Msxml2.XMLHTTP.4.0 commands, I have been able to connect using https and retrieve the session id, which I need to send back when I invoke the method.
When I run the code below, I get the SBL-ODU-01007 The HTTP request did not contain a valid SOAPAction header error message. I am not sure what I am missing??
OleObject loo_xmlhttp
ls_get_url = "https://secure-ausomxxxx.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration?command=login"
try
loo_xmlhttp = CREATE oleobject
loo_xmlhttp.ConnectToNewObject("Msxml2.XMLHTTP.4.0")
loo_xmlhttp.open ("GET",ls_get_url, false)
loo_xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("UserName", "xxxxxxx")
loo_xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("Password", "xxxxxxx")
loo_xmlhttp.send()
cookie = loo_xmlhttp.getResponseHeader("Set-Cookie")
sesId = mid(cookie, pos(cookie,"=", 1)+1, pos(cookie,";", 1)-(pos(cookie,"=", 1)+1))
ls_post_url = "https://secure-ausomxxxx.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration/Activity;"
ls_response_text = "jsessionid=" + sesId + ";"
ls_post_url = ls_post_url + ls_response_text
loo_xmlhttp.open ("POST",ls_post_url, false)
loo_xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("COOKIE", left(cookie,pos(cookie,";",1)-1) )
loo_xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("COOKIE", left(cookie,pos(cookie,";",1)-1) )
ls_post_url2 = "document/urn:crmondemand/ws/activity/10/2004:Activity_QueryPage"
loo_xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("SOAPAction", ls_post_url2)
loo_xmlhttp.send()
ls_get_url = "https://secure-ausomxxxx.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration?command=logoff"
loo_xmlhttp.open ("POST",ls_get_url, false)
loo_xmlhttp.send()
catch (RuntimeError rte)
MessageBox("Error", "RuntimeError - " + rte.getMessage())
end try
I believe you are using incorrect URL for Login and Logoff;
Here is the sample:
https://secure-ausomxxxx.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration?command=login
https://secure-ausomxxxx.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration?command=logoff
Rest of the code looks OK to me.
I have run into similar issues in PB with msxml through ole. Adding this may help:
loo_xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "text/xml")
you need to make sure that the your value for ls_post_url2 is one of the values that is found in the wsdl file. Just search for "soap:operation soapAction" in the wsdl file to see the valid values for SOAPAction.
I have the following statement in my code:
System.Xml.XmlNode items = lstWebs.GetListItems(
"Tasks", string.Empty, listQuery, listViewFields,
string.Empty, listQueryOptions, WorkspaceId);
When executing this, the following exception occurs:

I have confirmed the site URL and it is fine.
Could you please help on why the exception is occurring? Do I need to reset IIS?
please find the detail.
SoapException.InnerException is Null.
However the soapExcetion.Detail.InnerText is showing: The system cannot find the file specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070002)
Is the name tasks also the actual listname in the url? i.e. http://siteurl/lists/tasks? is the list in a subsite and are you using the service under the site-collection?
IF the list is in a subsite the use http://sitecollectionurl/subsite/_vti_bin/lists.asmx as the Service url, otherwise the lists.asmx will try to find the tasks list in the rootweb instead of the subsite.
The signature for GetListItems is
GetListItems(ListID, "", queryNode, viewFieldsNode, Nothing, queryOptionsNode, Nothing)
Try simplifying queryNode, viewFieldsNode and queryOptionsNode to the minimal.
In VB.NET
Dim caml = New XmlDocument
Dim queryNode = caml.CreateElement("Query")
Dim viewFieldsNode = caml.CreateElement("ViewFields")
Dim queryOptionsNode = caml.CreateElement("QueryOptions")
queryOptionsNode.InnerXml = "<ViewAttributes Scope=""Recursive"" /><IncludeMandatoryColumns>FALSE</IncludeMandatoryColumns>"
In C#
var caml = new XmlDocument();
var queryNode = caml.CreateElement("Query");
var viewFieldsNode = caml.CreateElement("ViewFields");
var queryOptionsNode = caml.CreateElement("QueryOptions");
queryOptionsNode.InnerXml = "<ViewAttributes Scope=\"Recursive\" /><IncludeMandatoryColumns>FALSE</IncludeMandatoryColumns>";
If it works, then the web service setup is correct.
When I had the mentioned problem, it was my invalid XML that caused it. There is a missing 'type' attribute on the 'Value' element of the 'Where' element in queryNode. I found it here from Microsoft.
Type | Required Text. Specifies the data type for the value contained by this element.
It works after adding the Type attribute. Check if any missing requirements for the xml in one of the nodes mentioned above?
Have you tried running with elevated permissions, it looks like the running user does not hav sufficient privileges to query the data...
