How can I export to excel when creating an application that works in the browser for Lightswitch?
There are some libraries which you can use to export from a browser application. Try out Aspose, for example.
There is a free extension for LightSwitch, called the Office Integration Pack, that allows exports to Excel.

I've developed an outlook addin in vs2013. The development machine has sharepoint installed. My code has:

But when I run this code on a client machine it shows an error.

This won't work as you expected. Microsoft.SharePoint.dll is a server side library which is part of Microsoft SharePoint and hence can neither be referenced nor used otherwise in a client-side environment such as an Outlook add-in.
What you are looking for is Client-Side Object Model, or CSOM for short. However, developing CSOM apps is a completely different story, needs slightly different knowledge and skills. The bad news is most of your SharePoint-related work will have to be redeveloped almost from scratch.
If your SharePoint integration isn't heavy, you might be able to achieve what you want with SharePoint's web services, either REST or SOAP. There an article on MSDN providing insight to various types of SharePoint APIs and providing guidance which API to use in what situation. You shoudl read this first.
we can't use using Microsoft.SharePoint; in sharepoint not installed system.

We have this Document Library Monitoring Console App written in C# and its running in SharePoint 2007. We now upgrading our SharePoint Server to 2013, so we also need to upgrade our solutions and customization including console apps.
I search through the web I can't find replace for deprecated "SPSite.StorageManagementInformation".

I have a webpage where when I click a button, it should download an exe from a url and the exe should get automatically invoked without user intervention.
In Internet Explorer I achieved this through activex control ( .ocx ) deployed as a .cab file.
I am planning to extend this to chrome and firefox platform too. ( atleast chrome for the first step ).
I don't want to use Java applet ( need to remove java dependency ). I know I could achieve this through Firebreath plugin but clearly this is not a good time to dive into NPAPI plugin ( since NPAPI is already being fading out. Chrome has begun phasing out NPAPI ).
When I looked into alternative Plugin technologies to NPAPI, I stumbled upon Google Native Client. On further reading I got to know Nacl too won't fit my needs since os calls api will not work in nacl ( I hope URLDownloadToFile api or createprocess or shellexecute wouldn't work. Correct me if I am wrong ).
Should I go for Native Messaging? Is there anyother alternative technology am missing ? Guide me Please .
NPAPI until it goes away will let you do what you want; other than that Native Messaging is the only option.

As suggested above, Chrome's native messaging appears to be the way to go - on Chrome.
First, have a look here: This blog entry shows that native messaging can be used to launch "calc.exe". I've yet to try it myself - but it looks promising:

One thing to keep in mind is that the Native Messaging technique will only work from a Chrome Extension, which opens up an entire set of related questions.
(1) Can Chrome extensions be installed for all users using group policy? or via the registry?

So maybe its possible to have a two-phase process:
-Your users will head to the web page, which will test for the extension (using #1 above)
-If its not there, have the users download and install the .exe (this will require interaction).
-The .exe will deploy the extension files and register it for Chrome (using #2 above)
-On subsequent visits, the already-installed extension can be used to launch/communicate with the now-already-installed .exe (using Native Messaging)
I'm working on a Crystal Report (unfortunately) and I need to add an image that will be dynamically loaded from a SQL DB via a WCF XML Web Service. Apparently there is a option for this in VS2008 (see webservice as datasource in vs 2008 crystal report), but I can't see this option in VS2010.
Has this functionality been removed? Am I doing something wrong?

It looks like I've found an answer. It seems that you need to use the actual Crystal Reports app to do this rather than Crystal inside VS2010. (see http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1894389). I'm installing Crystal 2008 now so hopefully it will work...
Update: it worked!
I'm trying to modify and set alert templates on a SP (working on a copy of alerttemplates.xml), but I'd like to deploy them just on some specific sites, not the whole farm. Is this possible? I'm using SharePoint 2010 RTM.

Changes take effect at the site collection level (aka top level site) and include all subsites in them
stsadm -o updatealerttempaltes
If you want more granular control you would have to look into IAlertNotifier, workflow or various 3rd party apps.
