WSDL Import fails in BPEL using Developer Studio - wso2

Hi I am working BPEL using WSO2 developer studio. I am trying to invoke a web service deployed in WSO2-AS using it's wsdl 1.1.
In the BPEL editor I added a partner link (using + button in palette)
In the properties window I click on Browse and then in the popup window I clicked on Add WSDL button.
There I selected the URL radio button and pasted the wsdl 1.1 url of my axis service. But the service is not imported.
I tried with WSDL 2.0 url then also it failed. ( I tried both Axis and Jax-ws )
Then I tried importing a wsdl url of a web service (jax-ws) deployed in tomcat using netbeans. It worked fine.
Could you please help me to understand this problem?
Thanks in advance
Sunil Binkam

WSO2 BPS bpel package requires all artifacts to be in the same location. So the easiest method to do that is to just same the wsdl file into the bpel project folder from the browser and click refresh. Then you can import the wsdl from the developer studio.

How to run WSO2 EMM Jaggery Web App in a WSO2 EMM Carbon Server?

I have been using WSO2 EMM product for a while. I imported emm jaggery web app project, which is located under modules/apps/ folder. into the WSO2 Eclipse Developer Studio and it is imported as a regular jaggery web app project.
I want to quickly change and run just the emm jaggery web app project (lets say some hbs files, page-layout etc.) and quickly review the impacts of the new design. Is there a way to do this quickly?
Best
You can simply do this by changing the necessary files then reloading the emm project from web-browser as you normally do for other web applications written in HTML, js & css. This can be tested by changing the files in emm jaggery application in WSO2 EMM product & there is no need for using a separate server.
Finally i have found a simple solution to reflect the Jaggery Web App changes to the running system via symbolic links.
After you have build the system successfully, the zip archive file is created at the product-emm/modules/distribution/target/wso2emm-1.1.0 directory.
Unzip the file and for linking Jaggery Web Apps locate to the product-emm/modules/distribution/target/wso2emm-1.1.0/repository/deployment/server/jaggeryappsdirectory where the web applications are bundled.
And give symbolic links by removing the old bundled ones and linking apps like ln -s ../../../../../../../apps/emm/ . to the product-emm/modules//apps/ location where the real development is going on.
Final picture will look like something like this. After this you can change the code and see the effect without reloading the server.

can wso2ues 1.0 (carbon server) run as a web app?

I'm trying to run WSO2UES (Carbon) as a web application in Apache Tomcat. I've followed the procedure discussed at http://pradeepfernando.blogspot.com/2012/09/running-wso2-carbon-as-web-app-apache.html.
I've added the web application folders into Tomcat webapps folder, configured HTTPS listener of Tomcat. Server logs show that application is successfully deployed and OSGI console is started. When I try to connect to application from https://myIp.com:8443/crbn/carbon, I get a 404 error. There are no exceptions in server logs.
Tomcat error screen contains reference to BridgeServlet: /crbn/carbon, so I know that request is correctly forwarded to BridgeServlet. I guess BridgeServlet can not locate and run the application from OSGI bundles. But I do not have any idea about why and how I can fix it.
How can I diagnose the problem, or is there any available source of information for the correct procedure?
Note: I'm using WSO2UES 1.0, Apache Tomcat 7.0.40. I've tried Java versions 6 and 7.
WSO2 UES 1.0 is based on carbon 4.1.0. AFAIK they are not officially support on web app mode.
can wso2 carbon 4.1 run as a web app (war)?
previous architecture handled using a concept called “Bridge Servlet”, so if you want to run it as previous you have to do some customized work.
here is a article on architecture difference on carbon latest.

CXF JAX-WS on WebSphere 7 doesn't appear in the admin console

I'm using the CXF's wsdl2java (through maven codegen plugin) to generate sources from wsdl (top-down) of a jax-ws web service.
Everything is fine till I have to deploy on WebSphere Application Server 7.
So, I made some adjustments according to various documentation found on the internet.
Now my deployed jax-ws (with frontEnd forced to 2.1) works fine.
The problem now is that I don't see any trace of the web service contained in my web module from the WAS admin concole (nor client, nor provider... nothing at all).
This situation prevents me to apply Policy Sets and configure WS-Security from the admin console.
My questions are:
what does prevent a working web service to be shown in the admin console?
if I cannot see it in the admin console: how to configure policy sets without the console?
Sadly, if you are using a 3rd party JAX-WS library on WebSphere, neither the client nor the provider will not show up in the admin console, and you won't be able to configure it to use the WS-Security and other stuff that comes with WAS.

How to consume asp.net web service in SharePoint site?

I have asp.net web service application created in VS 2010. I created this web service using ASP.NET Web Service Application template in VS 2010. My InfoPath form consumes my webservice. However to fill out my IP form, I first have to make sure I run my web service, otherwise I get errors like cannot connect to the webservice.
How can I make sure my web services are properly deployed to my SharePoint site that hosts infoPath form services? Please let me know the necessary steps. If my web services are deployed to my SharePoint site then there's no need to manually run my asp.net web service in the browser everytime I need to fill out the form. Thanks.
Here's the error message I got when I tried to browse my custom web service deployed to layouts folder:
http://abcd/_layouts/WebServiceDemo/MyCustomWebService.asmx
I couldn't find relevant message in 14-->LOGS. Any idea what's causing this? Thanks.
My own analysis: Please visit the web.config inside LAYOUTS folder and set Customerros to Off to get more meaningful error message.
I Googled "How to consume asp.net web service in SharePoint site".
The third hit was Walkthrough: Creating a Custom ASP.NET (ASMX) Web Service in SharePoint 2010. The post shows how to create, deploy and consume the service.

Web Service Authorization Authentication

I have a problem for a few months now...
I have a web service and a client using the web service.
When i try to add the web service to the client(with "Add Web Reference.."), i search for web services on the local machine and finds it. but when i click it in order to add it to the project i get a prompt dialog asking me for username and password.
I recall times when i didn't have this dialog and I'm not sure why this happens now...
the Web.config file of the web service contains <authentication mode="Windows" />
Few details:
I'm using Visual Studio 2008 Standard.
the programs are written in C#.
I'm using IIS 5.1 and the web service configured only with "Integrated Windows Authentication" checked.
in my windows XP I'm using (in order to login) a user name and password.
No matter what i do to add the web Service to the client i can't add it. it fails.
Check to see if your web project (client) is running on vs2008's built-in web server... under Project -> Properties -> Web section.
If not, can you check those same settings on the web service project and try connecting with both options?
That should do it.
**from comments above
I would recommend that you check and see if you have the option NTLM Authentication checked under Project Properties -> Web. If you uncheck this option you should be able to add the Web Service without having to authenticate.
