I was in a situation to pass the table row as the parameter to Web Service.
Anyone can explain me how can i achieve it?
When you say "table row", I'm assuming a row in a table? If that's the case it is probably easiest to put that into an array and pass that to the web service. (Given that a table is essentially a two dimensional array and you're just plucking a single array out of it.)

I am trying to populate unique values across a multiple columns in a SharePoint list. For example if we have "column A" with value "X", none of the columns should accept the value "x" in the entire list.
Is it possible?
I tried the formula using an example.
=IF([columnA]=[ColumnB],TRUE,IF([ColumnB]<>"",TRUE,FALSE))
But i felt stupid as i had no idea why i feel it is right. But it doesn't work
Any simple and better ideas will be a great help!
I think you need PreSaveAction for this requirement, when item saving, the function will execute for client side validation, then you could call rest api to validate column A value and user input value, when return false, means validation failed and item will not save.

I have several fields that contain exactly the same sql query! Is it possible to place the sql question centrally in APEX in the same way as list of values or as a function in oracle? I am using APEX 18.2
Here are two extended solutions

Call me dense, but I don't think I understand why you'd have multiple fields (presumably on the same form) whose source is the same SQL query.
Are you passing a parameter to the SQL to get a different value for each field?
If you are passing a parameter to the SQL query, why not create a database view to hold the query, then pass the parameter to the view. That way, if you need to change it, it's in one place.
If they really are all the same value from the same query, how about using the SQL for one field/page_item, then make the source for the others be the first page item?
I would create a hidden item with the query in the source as text and use &HIDDEN_ITEM_NAME. to reference its value in the source of any item I was trying to display the query.
Finally isolved it with a function and use the type PL/SQL Function Body returning SQL Query in APEX, then i have all in one place. I created a function in SQL developer that returns a SQL query.
Say I have a query like the one below. What would be the best way to put each value into an array if I don't know how many results there will be? Normally I would do this with a loop, but I have no idea how many results there are. Would I need run another query to count the results first?
<CFQUERY name="alllocations" DATASOURCE="#DS#">
SELECT locationID
FROM tblProjectLocations
WHERE projectID = '#ProjectName#'
</CFQUERY>
Depending on what you want to do with the array, you can just refer to the column directly for most array operations, eg:
i = arrayLen(alllocations["locationID"]);
Using that notation will work for most array operations.
Note that this doesn't "create an array", it's simply a matter that a query columns - a coldfusion.sql.QueryColumn object is close enough to a CFML array for CF to be able to convert it to one when an array is needed. Hence the column can be passed to an array function.
What one cannot do is this:
myArray = q["locationID"];
This is because by default CF will treat q["locationID"] as a string if it can, and the string value is what's in the first row of the locationID column in the q query. It's only when an array is actually required will CF convert it to an array instead. This is basically how loose-typing works.
So if you just need to pass your query column to some function that expects an array, you can use the syntax above. If you want to actually put the column into a variable, then you will need to do something like this:
myArray = listToArray(valueList(q.localtionID));
NB: make sure you use <cfqueryparam> on your filter values instead of hard-coding them into your SQL statement.
myquery.column.toArray() is also a good undocumented choice.
Since you're only retrieving 1 field value from the query, you could use ValueList() to convert the query results into a comma-delimited list of locationIds, then use listToArray() to change that list into an array.
If you were retrieving multiple field values from the query, then you'd want to loop through the query, copy all the field values from the given row into a struct, and then add that struct to an array using arrayAppend().
(If you're not familiar with these functions, you can look them up in the Adobe docs or on cfquickdocs.com).
I am trying to retrieve a single row from a table. This row contains filed that hold foreign keys into another table, which in turns is related to yet another table. I am trying to get just one row returned, yet, the problem is, it returns not only the row but ALL the objects that are jointly related to that table as well. As I have to deal with a fairly large amount of data, the returned object is very cumbersome as it contains all the related data as well. In some cases my script simply times out because there is just far too much data to grab.
My question is; is there a way to retrieve just a single record without the associated fluff with it? I am basically accessing the table via the entityManager from the repository, then trying to get my record by using the ->find($id) method.
I am sure this is something stupidly simple but I can't seem to figure this out. Thanks in advance for any help, it is much appreciated.
Doctrine 2 use "lazy loading", it means that the associated objects are not really retrieved from the database while you don't try to access them.
So the find($id) is just fine.
I'm trying to find the best way to go about my problem and I would love your input. I am trying to allow users to scan multiple barcodes into a text area. After they are submitted they are split into an array. The user then inputs how many iterations of each value in the array are to be inserted into a MySQL database. I've achieved this using PHP and session variables, looping through the array one step at a time. With Django I've found it a little more difficult and I am wondering if I should just have a "temporary" table in my database that gets refilled with the values from the array of barcodes. The following pages then pull each value from the table instead of using any sort of session variables.
Edit:
I apologize for the confusing question. Let me try and clear it up a bit:
I need to render a view based on each value in the user-submitted array. When it is first submitted, a view is rendered for the first value. When the user hits "Next" a view will be rendered for the second value in the array, and so on.
As for the database issue, each value can have two "types." The user will declare how many of each type is added to the database in each of the views I am trying to render.
Thank you.
this is nothing about django.
forget that temporary table.
add a field "filled" to ur table
select 1st not-filled row, and show "refill" page by this row
then update user input number back to db, set "filled" to "true" at same time.
You probably can port your PHP solution using a Django session object.
I'm not sure if that "one item at a time" is a feature or a "it was easier to code that way" thing, but in the second case - you may want to use Django Formsets to display all items at once and avoid looping through the array.
