I have a list within my application, but was wondering if it is possible to have each list displayed show a different background colour, rather than the same one through out each item?
I have created a template but would be nice to have the background of each change colour.
Thanks
EDIT: I have also created the same list via a 'Ext.dataview.component.DataItem' / 'DataView' so if this is easier to control separately then great, as I am looking at interfering in te process of creating each and setting its background, if that is at all possible.
You could try to do that with simply XTemplate:
var tpl = new Ext.XTemplate(
'<p>Name: {name}</p>',
'<p>Company: {[values.company.toUpperCase() + ", " + values.title]}</p>',
'<p>Kids: ',
'<tpl for="kids">',
'<div class="{[xindex % 2 === 0 ? "even" : "odd"]}">',
'{name}',
'</div>',
'</tpl></p>'
);
take a look at their explanations, might find something interesting:
http://docs.sencha.com/touch/2-0/#!/api/Ext.XTemplate
I have seen many variants on the Ext.query('class').up().addCls('backgroundClass'); hack, which makes perfect sense to me, but my question is WHEN are people calling this? I can't put it in 'painted', since DOM doesn't seem to exist yet.. where/when are you guys executing the Ext.get(..) call?
I have been looking for this also, and I had a hard time finding out how to access the individual items of a xlist...
This is the way I finally did it:
in your itemTpl, add a class to your < div >, using the property 'id' of your model:
itemTpl:'< div class="my_list_item_{id}"> ... content ... < /div>'
the tricky part is that if you want to set the background color of the whole item area, you have to access to < div > with class 'x-item-label' that is wrapping your itemTpl < div >.
Here is how I did it (for the first item as an example):
Ext.select('.my_list_item_1').first().up('div.x-list-item-label').addCls('background_item');
where 'background_item' is a CSS style, defining your background color.
(Since there is no way (at least that I know of) to get the index count of your items in the 'itemTpl' config, I had to use to automatic 'id' property of my model/store.
Note that if you apply filtering/sorting/... on your store, this property will not be sorted anymore. So if you want to link the order displayed in your list to the 'id' property, you have to do something like 'Ext.StoreManager.get('MyStore').getAt(indexInList).get('id') )
Hope this helps...
Since Sencha Touch 2.2.1 it's also possible to use striped parameter (more info here). It will add x-list-item-odd class to odd items of your list.

I'm looking for the equivalent of a html inline-block in swiftui. I basically want it to work exactly like list - but just wrap if it's going to exceed the line - eg
WrappingList( items ) {
Text( "item.name")
}
but I'm finding it way harder than I thought. I really want the things list brings to the table - ie incremental updates and scrolling, but I can't find a way of mapping it into the swift declarative style. In languages where you added controls procedurally, it's trivial:
current_x = 0
current_y = 0
foreach (var item in items )
{
control = create_control_for( item )
biggest_y = max( current_y + control.height, biggest_y)
if (control.width + current_x > width)
{
current_x=0;
current_y = biggest_y;
}
control.position = (current_x, current_y)
}
but swift seems to want to do things in hstacks or vstacks and I don't really know how do that and still keep the properties of a list - particularly without knowing the size of things in advance - ie I don't want a fixed grid.
Does such functionality already exist? If not, is there a way of mapping the above code line into SwiftUI?
just so there's an answer here - the comment above from asperi worked great - linking to this stack overflow article
I'm attempting to build a PowerShell CmdLet that can parse and cleanly reformat a chunk of XAML or any other markup language.
So far, I've had to build an assortment of CmdLet's so that I can get the correct information to put into this thing (for indentation, counts, items, child items, etc, so forth...)
What I'm attempting to do is to collect ALL of the properties and values in a set of XAML/HTML, etc, and then once I have the lengths of all those variables, I can then start to chunk them out and properly format them so that they all output down a straight line. It may not make a super amount of sense as I describe it? So, here's an example.
<Window xmlns = 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation'
xmlns:x = 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml'
Title = 'Window Title'
Height = '600'
MinHeight = '600'
Width = '800'
MinWidth = '800'
BorderBrush = 'Black'
ResizeMode = 'CanResize'
HorizontalAlignment = 'Center'
WindowStartupLocation = 'CenterScreen'>
The reason I am attempting to build this, is so that I can programmatically save the instructions to a smaller footprint. So, instead of... having fluctuating numbers for each line and item and the end result looking like this...
<Window xmlns='http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation'
xmlns:x = 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml' Title = 'Window Title' Height = '600'
MinHeight = '600' Width = '800' MinWidth = '800' BorderBrush = 'Black' ResizeMode = 'CanResize'
HorizontalAlignment = 'Center' WindowStartupLocation = 'CenterScreen'>
...I then have a set of instructions that can vectorize the content of the XAML, so that it has a pattern and less randomness. Sure, the line count might get expanded quite a bit, but there's no need to be concerned with that if all it is doing is expanding into RAM. Which is the point of it...
At any rate, the code that I am having trouble with is essentially a way to preserve the spacing between the quoted objects. I feel like I'm beating my head against a wall trying to get this to work correctly when I know it's a matter of Regex ...
I've posted the code I'm talking about via this link.
https://github.com/secure-digits-plus-llc/FightingEntropy/blob/master/Format-XAML.ps1
Lines 43-147
It is a script block, and testing with it requires a Xaml Here String.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm not much of a Regex fan, I understand some basics to it but I'm not that great with it yet.

Found the answer I was looking for.
Not the most eloquent way to solve the issue I was having, but it works.
"(?<=\').+?(?=\')"
When the lines are split, and you want to preserve the spacing within the quotes, then you need something like this.
I was attempting to iterate through a do loop until the array/string contained (2) single quotes, but what was happening was... 'oh. I thought you wanted to match 'adbhjikvgrfe' with '21345rfs'.
No regex. Wasn't looking to match that. sigh.
Then it was taking the spacing out between the quotes.
sigh
I gotta say... anyone who truly writes good programming...? Well, I tip my hat off to you good sir/ma'am... because... it's a frustrating job. For certain.
I'm trying to add the option to my users that, on a List Validator, to allow select any of the options or a blank option. Spreadjs has the IgnoreBlanks setting, which I use, so when the user uses the delete key or the backspace and deletes the cell it validates correctly.
However, I would love to use the same functionality as in Excel, which allows blank options in the list validator, in part of the list.
I've tried to target the <select> element that holds the list and programmatically add the empty element, however, it crashes after the user selects the empty option.
I've also tried to add different escaped characters to the list. If I select a character that represents an empty string or a tab, it won't add a new option to the list. If I use any strange character, or even the null character \0 you get a new option to select, but the content is that typical rectangle you see when your font doesn't have the character you're trying to display.
I've also tested using a regular ListValidator like in the example pages, not our custom functionality and doesn't work either.
https://www.grapecity.com/demos/spread/JS/TutorialSample/#/demos/basicDataValidator
I have also tried creating a FormulaListValidator, and if my range has empty cells I could then get an empty option on my list, however, because the range may have duplicates, I get duplicated options.
After researching a little bit I found a workaround in a different language which I adapted to Typescript (Angular 6)
export const getListValidatorFromArray = (spread: GC.Spread.Sheets.Workbook, data: any[]) => {
// saving validation list values in a hidden sheet
spread.addSheet(spread.getSheetCount());
const sheet = spread.getSheet(spread.getSheetCount() - 1);
sheet.visible(false);
for (let i = 0; i < data.length; i++) {
sheet.setValue(i, 0, data[i]);
}
// create validator based on the values
const dv = GC.Spread.Sheets.DataValidation.createFormulaListValidator(
'=' + sheet.name() + '!$A$1:' + sheet.name() + '!$A$' + data.length
);
return dv;
};
Note: This creates an extra sheet for each validator you create. Makes sure you reuse them as much as possible (i.e. assigning it to a variable when it's created, and reusing the variable for other columns/rows that use the same one).
I'm trying to get Taxonomy data by particular node.
How can I get Taxonomy Term Id by using Node object ?
Drupal ver. 8.3.6
You could do something like that:
$termId = $node->get('field_yourfield')->target_id;
Then you can load the term with
Term::load($termId);
Hope this helps.
If you want to get Taxonomy Term data you can use this code:
$node->get('field_yourfield')->referencedEntities();
Hope it will be useful for you.
PS: If you need just Term's id you can use this:
$node->get('field_yourfield')->getValue();
You will get something like this:
[0 => ['target_id' => 23], 1 => ['target_id'] => 25]
In example my field has 2 referenced taxonomy terms.
Thanks!
#Kevin Wenger's comment helped me. I'm totally basing this answer on his comment.
In your code, when you have access to a fully loaded \Drupal\node\Entity\Node you can access all the (deeply) nested properties.
In this example, I've got a node which has a taxonomy term field "field_site". The "field_site" term itself has a plain text field "field_site_url_base". In order to get the value of the "field_site_url_base", I can use the following:
$site_base_url = $node->get('field_site')->entity->field_site_url_base->value;
How to extract multiple term IDs easily if you know a little Laravel (specifically Collections):
Setup: composer require tightenco/collect to make Collections available in Drupal.
// see #Wau's answer for this first bit...
// remember: if you want the whole Term object, use ->referencedEntities()
$field_value = $node->get('field_yourfield')->getValue();
// then use collections to avoid loops etc.
$targets = collect($field_value)->pluck('target_id')->toArray();
// $targets = [1,2,3...]
or maybe you'd like the term IDs comma-separated? (I used this for programmatically passing contextual filter arguments to a view, which requires , (OR) or + (AND) to specify multiple values.)
$targets = collect($field_value)->implode('target_id', ',');
// $targets = "1,2,3"
I have a list of products and I am trying to alternate the colour between each product (grey, white, grey, white, and so on). I understand how to use colour formatting based on a condition such as the following link: example followed. However I dont know how to get it to look at the previous line on the report and check whether it holds the same product name. If it does, then colour the row the same colour, else the alternate colour.
I've setup an example report in the application: Application 67666 - Colour Row by Product example. I have two products in the report so I'm trying to get 3 grey lines and then 3 white lines, if I had more products it would then go back to grey and so on.

Please could I be directed in the right direction, JavaScript and Dynamic Actions shout out to me as in the example link however its looking at the previous row which is getting me all stuck.
I can't think of another solution than javascript really. There is possibly using lag in the sql, but only to use it to determine where the row color should change. You could use the value of the column in a html expression of a column and put it in a class, but you still need to iterate over it with javascript anyway. So it seems less fiddly to just use javascript.
Inline CSS:
table.report-standard tr.normalRow td{
background-color: green;
}
table.report-standard tr.altRow td{
background-color: red;
}
This will override the default style, but you will need to tune this to your demands. For example, the color change on :hover of the row. I prefer steering the style through assigning classes and then define the rules in css than to directly assign css through javascript (which would place it in style tags, ugh).
Dynamic action: change row colour
After Refresh, Region, Product Report
True action: execute javascript code, fire on page load checked
$('td[headers="PRODUCT"]', this.triggeringElement).each(function(){
var lCurrRow = $(this).closest('tr'),
lPrevRow = lCurrRow.prev(),
lPrevVal = lPrevRow.find('td[headers="PRODUCT"]').text();
console.log(lPrevVal + ' - ' + $(this).text());
//if value on previous row differs from the that on the current row
//then change the class
//if the value didnt change, then use the same class as the previous row
if ( lPrevVal != $(this).text() ){
if ( lPrevRow.hasClass('normalRow') ){
lCurrRow.addClass('altRow');
} else {
lCurrRow.addClass('normalRow');
};
} else {
if ( lPrevRow.hasClass('normalRow') ){
lCurrRow.addClass('normalRow');
} else {
lCurrRow.addClass('altRow');
};
};
})
Check your solution on apex.oracle.com, I implemented it there.
