I have found some Google public data of interest to me.
http://www.google.com/publicdata/explore?ds=d5bncppjof8f9_&ctype=l&strail=false&bcs=d&nselm=h&met_y=ny_gdp_pcap_cd&scale_y=lin&ind_y=false&rdim=country&idim=country:CHN&ifdim=country&tstart=-315424800000&tend=1262498400000&hl=en&dl=en&iconSize=0.5&icfg
I would like to download it so that I can create my own visualizations from it. Is this possible? I cannot merely embed the graph because I don't want the links to Google on my site.
Thank you.
The data cannot be downloaded from Google Public Data, though it can be downloaded from the original site. Source: http://support.google.com/publicdata/answer/1101239?hl=en
Click the "Data from World Bank, World Development Indicators" link at the bottom. You should see a link to download the data on that page.
There is a small box that contains a question mark on the axis labels. Click the box and click "More info". It would direct you to the raw data in table form.

I am trying to create a file path link in either a table or a tooltip on a map in Powerbi. After doing some research "File" is an acceptable input for the "Web URL" data category. But for some reason when I try to use it as a hyperlink in the browser, it will not work. Below are some pictures of the problem.
What is the best way to fix this issue? Do I need to change how I string in the file path?
I found definitive answer - it doesn't work as one would expect. It appears it only used to work on Edge, however Edge has switched to Chromium underneath and this capability has not been carried over since it is a potential security risk.
If I navigate from Power BI Service and try and right click to open the link, I get. about:blank#blocked
Here is the post I found
And here is the idea you need to vote for: - Extract below.
Currently open a local file from Desktop is not possible and from browser is very tedious as explained on May 2017 update:
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-may-feature-summary/#urlTables
"If you want to use file URLs, there are some limitations. They will not open in the Power BI Desktop, only in web browsers. For most browsers, you will need to right click on the link, copy the link address, and paste the URL in a new tab"
It will be great if can be improved the way to open the files in same way as with web images or files (http://).
I have some pdf files hosted on Google Cloud Storage. These files are public and I open them using their public link.
Is there a way I can customize the favicon shown by the browser when I view those PDF?
Can I put a custom Favicon for my bucket?
See screenshot to see which icon I mean, is the Icon shown in the browser Tab, this is chrome:
Currently, this is not possible. When this kind of features are not available, the best is to open a Feature Request (FR) in the Public Issue Tracker of GCP. Before doing so, please make sure that there are no other existing feature requests similar to yours.
Here's an existing issue tracker.
I would recommend you to "star" it to ensure that you receive updates about it. You can also adjust notification settings by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner and selecting settings.
The more "stars" in the issue, the most probability to be implemented the feature request. Also, adding this kind of needs makes the GCP Engineering team to have a better visibility of the real/currently needs of the users.
Today I published my report via "Publish to the web- embed this report for public access", just to test it via a browser.
Now I want to unpublish it (delete it from the public to view). But I can not see any links under:
setting --> manage embed codes
It only shows the one I created some months ago. Capture.PNG
Anyone knows where can I find and delete these embed code links?
Thank you
When you go to Manage embed codes, make sure you are in the same workspace, in which is the report you published. It will show you only those links, that are for reports in the current workspace.
We're trying to have users share 'articles' on a simple website into their timelines. Each article is associated with a video and we would like to use that video in the representation of the article in a users timeline. Now, I've read that linking to an mp4 via open graph meta tags isn't possible anymore. So I presume I should be using the graph api.
Could someone confirm that this is true?
And if so can you give a quick run down of the necessary steps achieve this?
Thanks
hi I am trying to link files which are in my hard drive through power view in excel.
is anybody can help what steps to follow to link local files from power view.
thanks
You can't hyperlink to files or shares in Power View, only sites and email addresses. See here. Those hyperlinks can be in your data or can be added to text boxes.
