About Google Cloud Platform Console credit/debit billing? - google-cloud-platform

I've just created a Google Cloud Platform (for testing purposes only). It asked for my credit/debit card, it said it's completely free so I just fill in my debit card info. Then after that, when I go to the Billing Info tab, it said that I have 300$ in my account??? I mean what? Does it take from my debit card, still I've just checked my debit card money and it doesn't change yet (maybe tomorrow it will go down), but I'm super worried right now.
I want to ask:
Is this 300$ free? Or does it take from my debit card?
If I use some paid services here which use that 300$ cash, will it take from my debit card too? Am I free to use that 300$ during the free trial time without worrying about anything?
What happen after the free trial?

Problem setting up Google Maps API Billing Acount

I hope you are all very well. I'm developing a web platform for an assignment and I need to use the Maps JavaScript API. As you know, you are required to provide a credit card number to set up your billing account, unfortunately I'm from Venezuela and credit cards are not something that you can see every day, first I tried using a false credit card number, it didn't work, then I managed to find someone who had a credit card, but it seems like the credit limits in my country are not even high enough for Google to test that the credit card actually works. I've tried sending requests to the API but all of them have been rejected and I haven't been able to find any ways around this problem. It's very embarrassing to ask for this, but if someone could provide me with an API key that works, I'd very more than grateful, I can pay for using the API Key, my only problem is that I don't count with a credit card (I could pay with cryptocurrencies if that were an option), and even if I had a credit card, my country is not included in the list of countries that can be chosen when creating a new billing account. Thanks in advance, it's a very important assignment and I really need some help.
I believe that you can use a PayPal account. For Google Cloud you can prepay an account, maybe you can do the same with Google Maps.
A shared API key will probably get blocked quickly by Google, so do not try to go that route.
Another idea is to join a local Google Developer Group, someone might be able to help you. Also, sometimes developer/educational credits are available. This is worth your time and can help you with contacts as you develop your skills.

Google cloud won't let me increase GPU quota until I've used my present quota, which is 0?

Apparently google will not offer support for free trials, so there is no way to get official help on this.
I am trying to set up a free trial version of google cloud, to run a deep learning project on a cloud GPU. After setting up a project, I wish to add a machine learning VM. I go there, and it tells me I need to increase my GPU quota. However, when I follow the 'change quota' link, I can't change the GPU quota, because I am not using my currently available quota (which is 0) ...
Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? The aim for me was to make a guide for my students who will need this resource in a few days. I got it to work on another google account in summer, but need to go through it again on a fresh account, so I can tell my students what it will look like for them. So, I think I'm familiar with most of the steps, but I haven't seen this "service usage history" error before.
Google has restricted few products in free trial. You can upgrade the account during the free trial. Both free trial and paid will be running simultaneously but you will be paying only for restricted products which were not available in free trial. .
The GPUs on Compute Engine are no longer in beta and are shown in free trial. But, you can start machine learning in free trial mode as the quota is 0.
However you can try products which are machine learning based like Auto ML, Vision API, Bigquery(Depending on your project and your needs) as per free tier usage limits. Also check out GPU pricing.
This issue seems to somehow be related to the fact that I have already used the 300 USD on a different google account. I tried it with a colleague who had not used any paid google product before, and it worked just as it should.
So, somehow, either through my credit card info or something else, google cloud knows about the other account.

GCP "12 Months 300$ Free Trial" removed due to billing account change?

I registered few months ago on the google cloud platform for the "12 months 300$ trial" to test the possibilities of the cloud.
On top of gcp there was always a banner saying how many days and how many $ left for trial period.
When the first billing with 0$ came in, I got a lot of trouble with our accountant because the bill wasn't set on our company but personal/private.
After a lot of problems adding a new payment method for a new billing account (also with Google Billing Support) - Long story short: I had to delete the private billing account and added a new company billing account.
Now I do not have that free trial banner with information anymore.
Rereading the conditions I'd say there should be no problem:
1.1 The Free Trial applies only to the use of the Services.
1.2 Only new Google Cloud Platform customers are eligible to participate in the Free Trial.
1.3 The Free Trial starts when Customer creates a billing account in the Google Cloud Console (“Free Trial Start Date”) and ends on the earlier of (i) the date that Customer’s fees for usage exceeds $300 or (ii) 12 months from the Free Trial Start Date.
So:
How can I verify if I am still in the trial phase?
If I got kicked out, what can I do to continue the trial phase?
Is there anything else I'm probably missing?
Thank you for your time!
Sidenote (or better said my opinion):
Until now I didn't try more than the AppEngine.
With all the problems that I had with the payment method verification and the support (took 1 1/2 months), now loosing the free trial phase, I must say that I did not enjoy this whole bureaucracy in any way and am almost done with the "cloud hype", feeling to me like a "big giant buzzword bureaucracy monster" :'(.

How to implement a payment gateway from credit card to bitcoins

I am looking for an API to allow customers to pay a service in bitcoins by inputting their credit card number or via bank transfer. Ideally the gateway would buy the bitcoins with the credit card and deposit them on a provided bitcoin wallet address.
I found some services like https://cex.io, but their api (https://cex.io/rest-api#place-instant-order) is not offering the payment through credit card option.
Any idea what would be the best way to implement something like this?
The https://cex.io IS the solution. However, the customer would have to spend the bitcoin - you cannot take a credit card, convert it Bitcoin and pay yourself. In essence you want to create a cash transaction from a credit card. Not possible I believe - nor legal possibly. The Bitcoin would have to go to the customer's wallet, and then THEY would need to send it to another Bitcoin address

Trying to sign up for a free trial

I am trying to deploy my nodejs app to google cloud. To do that you need to set up your billing account. I live in India and I've read some blogs online saying that google doesn't accept debit cards from India because they require Verified By Visa authentication and google doesn't implement that. What can I do? Do I NEED to get a credit card (credit cards work apparently)
If you don't have a credit card, please try to sign up with your debit card (assuming it has the Visa or Mastercard logo) as per below information.
If it does not work and you have further issues, please contact Google Cloud Platform billing with questions, as it will require discussing sensitive financial information that you shouldn't post on Stack Overflow.
Q1: do you need a billing account to sign up for free trial?
Per the billing docs:
Do I pay anything for the free trial?
No, the trial is free and you will not be billed. When your trial ends, your account will be paused and you'll have the option to upgrade to a paid account.
Per the Google Cloud Platform free trial FAQ:
You Won’t be Billed
When you sign up for the free trial, you are asked to provide your credit card information. This information is used only to verify your identity and let us know you’re not a robot. Your credit card is not charged during your free trial unless you upgrade to a paid account.
Q2: will debit cards work or do you need to use a credit card?
Per billing docs, you can pay via debit cards if they have the Visa or Mastercard logo. Also:
The payment methods available to you will depend on your currency and country. You'll see what payment methods are available to you when you sign up for Google Cloud billing.
Note that instant verification mentioned below is only available for US-based bank accounts at the time of this writing (20 Sep 2015). Otherwise, you can verify your bank account via trial deposits.
For more details, see the help page:
Choose a payment method
A payment method is what you use to pay for your costs, such as a credit card or bank account. The payment methods available to you will depend on your currency and country. You'll see what payment methods are available to you when you sign up for Google Cloud billing.
Credit cards and debit cards
Credit card and debit card payments allow you to specify a credit or debit card that will be used as a primary or backup funding source for monthly automatic or manual payments. We accept debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo.
Note: Prepaid cards are not accepted for payment.
Bank account (also known as direct debit)
Bank account payments allow you to specify a bank account that will be used as the primary funding source for monthly automatic payments. Your account won't be active until you've verified your bank account. Verification of your bank account may take up to 10 days. For information about instant bank verification, see Verify your bank account with instant bank verification.
Backup credit cards
If your primary form of payment doesn't work for some reason, a backup credit card makes sure your services keep running.
#Misha Brukman gives nice answer for this question but i just want to append some more information. I have checked #Mishra Brukman's answer and try to active my free trial Google Cloud Platform account and add card information in payment method but its not work with normal card. I have tried with VISA card and Master Card but not working.
Now i spent more then 5 hours and then found that we can open(active) account by using VISI debit card or Master Card also but Please make sure that the card should be supported for international transaction.
I have added VISI debit card detail which is supported international transaction and it works fine for me.
