Find Replace with RegEx with Google Script - regex

I am trying to replace substrings that look like the following
Education|AAA|BBB|CCC|DDD|EEE
AAA|Educator|CCC|DDD|EEE
where Education or Educator could be in any position of the pipe delimited string. They are present at most only one time or zero times
I need to replace them with Educator/Education
What I want is
Educator/Education|AAA|BBB|CCC|DDD|EEE
AAA|Educator/Education|CCC|DDD|EEE
This works on the first pass with Education, I get
Educator/Education|AAA|BBB|CCC|DDD|EEE
AAA|Educator|CCC|DDD|EEE
But on the second pass replacing Educator, I get
Educator/Education/Education|AAA|BBB|CCC|DDD|EEE
AAA|Educator/Education|CCC|DDD|EEE
I think different a RegEx pattern for the ReplaceNth function would do it but cannot get what it should be
This is what I came up with in my limited ability with Google Script, which I got mostly from cobbling together from searches

In regular expression syntax, you can create an 'or' condition using a vertical bar to search for multiple things in one go. You can test this out in G Suite Sheets without needing any code.
I think you want to search for
Education|Educator
and replace it with
Education/Educator
When you are happy with your results you can put it back into code - the same regex syntax should work in javascript.

How to combine multiple RegEx commands for Notepad++ using capture groups and alternations?

I am converting exported SQL views as files to a different syntax using a separate specialized conversion tool. This tool can't handle certain commands and formatting so I'm using Notepad++ with RegEx to alter the files ahead of time.
So far I am getting the results that I want, but it takes three separate Find/Replace actions. I'd like to reduce these three RegEx actions down to one if possible.
Find: (.*)(CREATE VIEW.*\nGO)(.*)
Replace: \2
Find: (CREATE VIEW )(.*)(\r\nAS)
Replace: \1"\2"\3
Find: (oldschema1\.|\[oldschema1\]\.|\[|\]|TOP \(100\) PERCENT|oldschema2\.)|(^GO$)|(\A^(.*?))
Replace: (?1)(?2\;)(?3SET SCHEMA schemaname\; \n\n\1)```
I'm using Notepad++ 7.7.1 64-bit, Find/Replace with Regular Expression search mode - ". matches newline" check on.
You'll see in my code that I'm already using capture groups with alternation. I thought I could combine the first two RegEx steps as additional capture groups to Step 3 but it doesn't work out, possibly because they are nested.
I tried referencing the nested groups by incrementing the referencing number accordingly, but it doesn't work (blanks out the result).
Here is an example SQL view file. It's not a working view because I added "oldschema2" so the RegEx would have something to find for one of the replacements, but it's representative as an example here.

Here is some additional details of what I'm trying to achieve with each pass.
Notepad++ RegEx Step 1 - isolate view block from CREATE VIEW to GO
Find:
(.*)(CREATE VIEW.*\nGO)(.*)
Replace:
\2
Step 2 - put quotes around view name
Find:
(CREATE VIEW )(.*)(\r\nAS)
Replace:
\1"\2"\3
Step 3 - remove/replace various texts and insert a line at the beginning of the file
Find:
(oldschema1\.|\[oldschema1\]\.|\[|\]|TOP \(100\) PERCENT|oldschema2\.)|(^GO$)|(\A^(.*?))
Replace:
(?1)(?2\;)(?3SET SCHEMA schemaname\; \n\n\1)
The expected output from the above example would be:

which I achieve with the above three steps, but I'd like to do it in one Find/Replace if possible.

Step 1
I'm not so sure about it, but I'm guessing that maybe we would want an expression similar to:
[\s\S]*?(CREATE VIEW[\s\S]*GO\s*)[\s\S]*
to be replaced with $1, where our desired data is in this capturing group:
(CREATE VIEW[\s\S]*GO\s*)
and we can even remove \s*:
(CREATE VIEW[\s\S]*GO)
and just try:
[\s\S]*?(CREATE VIEW[\s\S]*GO)[\s\S]*
with an m flag.

Step 2
We can likely try:
(CREATE VIEW)(.*)
and replace with:
SET SCHEMA schemaname;\n\n$1 "viewname"

being replaced with an empty string.

how to implement regex in Angular ng-select?

I have already implemented angular multi-select Dropdown. Now I want it to search using RegEx. Like if I have qwertyuiop, and if I wrote w*i than it should suggest me all the entries who contains 'W' and 'I' in the same string.
Do you want to know the whole thing, like how to bind the input of an input field, read the input, create an RegEx out of it, and then use the RegEx as a filter to the list you are showing in your dropdown ?
Or only the RegEx part?
For the part with RegEx:
You should take a look at the Javascript Defintion of RegEx (for example at Mozilla Developer Network ). It has a quite nice functionality.

What happens here?
You are creating a regular Expressen with new RegExp(someString).
You can optimize it with RegEx flags.
Later you test a string with myRegEx.test(theString). It will return true if the regEx founds at least one match in the string.

Regex ignore first 12 characters from string

I'm trying to create a custom filter in Google Analytic to remove the query parts of the url which I don't want to see. The url has the following structure
[domain]/?p=899:2000:15018702722302::NO:::
I would like to create a regex which skips the first 12 characters (that is until:/?p=899:2000), and what ever is going to be after that replace it with nothing.
So I made this one: https://regex101.com/r/Xgbfqz/1 (which could be simplified to .{0,12}) , but I actually would like to skip those and only let the regex match whatever is going to be after that, so that I'll be able to tell in Google Analytics to replace it with "".
The part in the url that is always the same is
?p=[3numbers]:[0-4numbers]

Your regular expression:

Tested in Golang RegEx 2 and RegEx101
It search for /p=###:[optional:####] and capture the rest of the right side string.

What is the regex required to find specific urls within content from a list of urls generated by a for loop?

As I write this I realise there are two parts to this question, however I think I am only really stuck on the first part and therefore the second is only provided for context:
Part A:
I need to search the contents of each value returned by a for loop (where each value is a url) for the following:
href="/dir/Sub_Dir/dir/163472311232-text-text-text-text/page-n"
where:
the numerals 163472311232 could be any length (ie it could be 5478)
-text-text-text-text could be any number of different words
where page-n could be from page-2 up until any number
where matches are not returned more than once, ie only unique matches are returned and therefore only one of the following would be returned:
href="/dir/Sub_Dir/dir/5422-la-la/page-4
href="/dir/Sub_Dir/dir/5422-la-la/page-4
Part B:
So the logic would be something like:
list_of_urls = original_list
for url in list_of_urls:

I am a newbie to python and regex so this will limit my understanding somewhat in regards to relatively complicated regex suggestions etc.

You can have... most of what you want. Regexes don't really do the distinct thing, so I suggest you just use them to get all the URLs, and then remove duplicates yourself.
Off the top of my head it would be something like this:
href="/dir/Sub_Dir/dir/[0-9]+-[a-zA-Z]+-[a-zA-Z]+-[a-zA-Z]+-[a-zA-Z]+/page-([2-9])|([1-9][0-9]+)"
Plus or minus escaping rules, specifics on what words are allowed, etc. I'm a Windows guy, there's a great tool called Expresso which is helpful for learning regexes. I hope there's an equivalent for whatever platform you're using, it comes in handy.

Article spinner with 2 tiers

I made an article spinner that used regex to find words in this syntax:
{word1|word2}
And then split them up at the "|", but I need a way to make it support tier 2 brackets, such as:
{{word1|word2}|{word3|word4}}
What my code does when presented with such a line, is take "{{word1|word2}" and "{word3|word4}", and this is not as intended.
What I want is when presented with such a line, my code breaks it up as "{word1|word2}|{word3|word4}", so that I can use this with the original function and break it into the actual words.
I am using c#.
Here is the pseudo code of how it might look like:
Check string for regex match to "{{word1|word2}|{word3|word4}}" pattern
If found, store each one as "{word1|word2}|{word3|word4}" in MatchCollection (mc1)
Split the word at the "|" but not the one inside the brackets, and select a random one (aka, "{word1|word2}" or "{word3|word4}")
Store the new results aka "{word1|word2}" and "{word3|word4}" in a new MatchCollection (mc2)
Now search the string again, this time looking for "{word1|word2}" only and ignore the double "{{" "}}"
Store these in mc2.
I can not split these up normally
Here is the regex I use to search for "{word1|word2}":

Edit: I solved this using a recursive method. I was building an article spinner btw.
That is not parsable using a regular expression, instead you have to use a recursive descent parser. Map it to JSON by replacing:
{ with [
| with ,
wordX with "wordX" (regex \w+)
Then your input
{{word1|word2}|{word3|word4}}
becomes valid JSON
[["word1","word2"],["word3","word4"]]
and will map directly to PHP arrays when you call json_decode.
In C#, the same should be possible with JavaScriptSerializer.
I'm really not completely sure WHAT you're asking for, but I'll give it a go:
If you want to get {word1|word2}|{word3|word4} out of any occurrence of {{word1|word2}|{word3|word4}} but not {word1|word2} or {word3|word4}, then use this:
#"\{(\{[^}]*\}\|\{[^}]*\})\}"
...which will match {{word1|word2}|{word3|word4}}, but with {word1|word2}|{word3|word4} in the first matching group.
I'm not sure if this will be helpful or even if it's along the right track, but I'll try to check back every once in a while for more questions or clarifications.
