I'd like to know how or where data gets stored in an online TIMED exam or test when the network connection becomes offline! I've seen scenarios where the network connection suddenly drops down and when the user logs into his account again, finds that the he can resume his test from the point the connection went offline! So, where does the data of his answers to his previous questions actually get stored? Is it in the client or server side? Do the test providers use any offline storage for these?
I was just curious about this (and kinda new to this) and couldn't find any accurate explanations for this in any search engine. A li'l guidance would be much helpful! [This could really be some kinda basic question I'm sorry for my ignorance- but I really don't know]

Without knowing the particular exam/system in question, the answer will be a bit generalized. Here goes:
The client side (code running in the browser most likely) must be saving the answers directly to the server as they come in.
The client side can also be linked to the server where the test results are stored. This can be done via a live link such as websockets. Once the server detects that the client is 'down' (for whatever reason) the server may or may not stop the timing of the test. It all depends on the specifics of the particular test. Care to share which?

OVERVIEW
I'd like to test some Django websites using random data on a production server using real domain names, but these websites will be simple tests with possible duplicated data (quite probable not following Google rules). I know usually for this you use a development/staging/virtual box for such a task, but I do want to use directly the production box with the real DNS.
Now, I'm kind of new on website development and SEO, and I wouldn't like to mess with SEO and Google.
What'd be the right way to proceed here? Should I try to avoid being indexed/crawled by Google somehow? Any other advices?
You can disallow the complete indexing of your page and then later (when you're done with coding) activate it again.
Thats probably the best way because google is not going to crawl "bad pages" (for example when your website still is in development) and thus you will not get a Ranking so far (called Page Ranking if you want to look it up).

My query is very basic one but just want to know the exact things which occur behind the bars and how. Lets say, I am given a question to code. User submits the code in any language(I'd like to go for C or C++ here specifically), now the code gets tested on various test files at the server side. How this happens? As I think and searched, there must be a code at the server side which must be accepting solutions(user's code) from the client in form of the file, then run that file on various test files(which will have all test cases according to the input and output specified in the problem description) and match the output. Is it? I think there is something else or something which I am mistaken.
If I have a very simple program to add two numbers, now I want to test the user's code, what exactly do I have to do? I am asking from the implementation point of view i.e. I want to actually do and test the same on my machine. Can someone please tell me from basic what all I should do?(Much the same way online judges do)
PS: I am not asking this for hosting any contest etc, just doing out of curiosity for learning.
I would divide this into two sub goals
learning automated testing
setting up some application which allows the user to submit testcases, run the automated tests and reports feedback
You could start to get some deeper insight by setting up automated tests for some program in your favourite programming language.
Use a search engine to e.g. look for "automated c++ testing".
If you have managed setting up a few automated tests on a local machine, your could then progress with the second goal.
For example you could set up a Jenkins instance and learn how to add automated tests to it.

What precautions should I TAKE SO THAT MY WEBSITE WORKS ON EVERY BROWSER
The warning which I got was as below
The code on this page disabled back and forward caching. For more information, see: go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=291337
but I did not understood Kindly explain and give some tips
Ok I think I got something wrong with my code or internet speed
I kept the code in Developers option and let it wait then the hit went through all the 4 states and I got a response
Am I missing something ... In normal mode the hit does not go through all the states
Set your mode as synchronous to true

What is the fastest way in C++ to share screens between computers, like in Skype or Google Plus? Currently I'm taking a screenshot, convert it to low-quality JPG with GDI+ and then send it too a remote computer, but although it works, it is not very fast (7 FPS via localhost).
I can't comment :(
But some things to think about.
Which operation(s) take the most time? I suspect this would be the capture due to the localhost xmission - but it really could be anything. Benchmark.
Does the sender "block" the next frame generation while waiting on the recipient display? If this is so then it might add in an implict bottleneck. The sender probably wants to keep sending frames unless the recipient requests a throttle.
If bandwidth is an issue, what about only sending partial or delta frames? Even though localhost shouldn't be a bandwidth issue, I am fairly certain that this is done in more advanced clients.
Consider looking at some [open source] VNC clients for how they work. It's not necessarily the same as "Skype", but it shound provide insight for a screen sharing program.

My girlfriend is signing up for college courses, and she missed out on registration for a particular class that's ideal for the upcoming semester. All sections of the class are full. However, other students may drop/withdraw at any point, opening up a seat that she'd want to register for immediately.
I'm not aware of any auto-notification tool on the college's website. So, rather than reloading this page manually all day long over the next several weeks, I'd like to set something up to auto-notify her if a seat opens up.
What are the best/easiest options to do this?
This is the web page that I would need to monitor:
http://www6.austincc.edu/schedule/index.php?op=browse&opclass=ViewSched&term=212S000&disciplineid=PCVCD&yr=2012&ct=CC
Here is a screenshot of the specific numbers that I'm interested in:
https://skitch.com/troywarr/gptbe/acc-course-schedule-course-schedule-by-discipline-spring-2012
For any of the five course sections, when the first number (shown in the orange box) drops below 12, I'd like to know as soon as possible.
I envision this being some sort of web scraper that operates on short intervals (like every 5 minutes), checking for changes to the text within the appropriate HTML elements, then interfacing with an SMS system (ideally) or email.
This is important enough to warrant setting up a tool like this, but I don't have more than about a day to devote to it, so I'm hoping that such a tool or service already exists, and would greatly appreciate any recommendations. If not, any suggestions on what tools/languages/technologies to use would be great. Thanks!
It's already been done for you.

Register for the waitlist and she'll get an email when a spot opens up.
It' standard fare at pretty much any educational institute. ;)
