hands on axis2c api for cpp - web-services

I am new to webservices, I am trying to develop a http-client in c/cpp using apache axis2c.
I couldn't find any good sample code for axis2c api anywhere. documentation is also not that clear or straight forward to start developing client using axis2c.
any idea where can I get running sample code that can help me to start with.
Thanks in advance.

This (ws-staff) could be helpful to you.
I am also trying to create web service using C++. This seems to be a good start.

How to create API in WSO2 using Eclipse Java EE

I am really new in services and mainly in WSO2 and i am having some little problems to finish the tutorial of the link: 'https://docs.wso2.com/display/EI611/Sending+a+Simple+Message+to+a+Service'.
I need of this tutorial to learn about the use of the tool and because of my boss asked me for.
My problem is, i was able to create the server, i had to create locally, but stopped in the part: 'Sending requests to WSO2 EI', in the item 3, my API simply don't appears. I already tried to restart the server and review the tutorial, but every-time i brake in this part.
I really need help and really want learn. If anyone could help me, i would stay very grateful. Thank you everyone
PS: Remembering that i haven't use any code to come where i come, just tried for the way that the tutorial taught.
I was able to solve my problem. The reason I had this problem was because I wasn't packaging the artifacts correctly. Once I learned how to package the artifacts, the API showed just right.

Integrating paypal with c++ MFC app

We are planning to integrate Paypal with one of our cpp application written using MFC. The question is shall we use Rest apis to accomplish this? or there is any other easier way to do achieve this? I have recently used Paypal REST Services via Postman and they look pretty easy. What I want to achieve is how can I use rest apis for paypal without launching the browser ? How can I achieve Login credentials from the user ? Can anyone point me to right direction ?
Appreciate your help in advance.
Thanks
AJ
I'd suggest using PayPal REST API https://developer.paypal.com/docs/api/ as they putting more effort into it. There is also SOAP API, but I would not use it. It seems like dated.
You can use ultra modern Casablanca C++ REST SDK which is an open source framework from Microsoft available at: https://github.com/Microsoft/cpprestsdk to implement your end-point.
You can do that using Wizdome which is c++ / MFC oriented. A product named Datattoo recovery developed under c++ and MFC allows paying for the amount of data successfully recovered, and the integration with PayPal is done that way.

Writing first RESTFul Webservice and Client

Guys I almost spent a day on googling to find step by step tutorial for writing my first RESTFul service. No Luck
My environment is as follow
JDK 1.7
JBoss 713
Maven
Eclipse Indigo
Any pointer will be helpful. Thanks
Thank you. Though "RESTFul Java with JAX-RS" is quite old and lot of things evolved current past, gives good insight on the concepts. As Surya explained you need to go though multiple resources to get a good understanding on REST. What's the best source for learning how to create RESTful APIs in Java?
DropWizard provides end-end easy solution to write and deploy REST Services. Really impressive.

What direction should I follow to add webservice functionalities to my application?

I have a problem, and I know there are many ways to solve it. I hope you can help me chose the fittest.
I am developping an application mainly using Matlab, and I try to gradually shift some of its functionalities to c++. I develop on windows, for windows.
I am quite experienced in these two programming languages, but I know nothing of web development.
I want to add some functionalities to this application that will use some webservices hosted on a server protected by ssl.
I am alone on this project, but I can spend some time learning new stuff if need be.
I would like to know what tools you think I should better use for this task ?
So far, I have tried and failed the following approach :
calling the webservice directly from Matlab. I have added the self-signed ssl certificate to every truststore I could find on my computer, but I keep getting an error telling me that the certificate is not valid.
calling the webservice using gSoap and c++. For this, I need to rebuild the gSoap binaries with ssl capabilities. I tried too do so using visual studio and mingw/gcc but did not succeed, and I could not find any help online.
I have the feeling after a few hours/days browsing and looking for solution that the tools I try to use are not the most used and therefore not the best documented (and therefore not the best suited for a rookie), so what is your advice?
I think using gSoap from your C++ modules would be the best choice.
Information about using gSoap with SSL as client is available here: Secure SOAP Clients with HTTPS/SSL
A link about using gSoap for building a VS Application: Creating a gSoap eBay Client Application with Visual C++ 2008
May be this helps for using gSoap with MinGW: Using gSoap in Qt/Windows

Create SOAP message from WSDL using axiom

I'm a starting a project which consist in sending a request to a web-service (which is already available) and parsing the response. I have the WSDL and URL endpoints. Does anyone have a startup tutorial on how to build something from there?
I would like to use Axis2 + Axiom to send the service request and receive and process the response. I'm using eclipse as dev env. I've been search for a tut on how to do this but with no success.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
this might help you
creating a webservice client using eclipse
I don't know about Axiom, but SOAP UI is a terrific tool for testing web services in just the manner you describe.
I don't know if Eclipse has a plug-in for it. (They do for everything else.) IntelliJ supports it, so that's how I use it.
Well in conclusion, I did find two very useful links for the Apache axis2 project, got it working in no time!
