How do I set a page as the default wiki page on Google Code? - wiki

I have several wiki pages on my project hosted on Google Code. How do I set one of my pages as a "Table of Contents"? I noticed that for some other projects, naming a page as TableOfContents will make it the default page displayed on clicking the "Wiki" tab. This did not work for me.
How do I add a "Table of Contents" to my Google Code wiki?

Got it!
Under the "Administer" tab, select "Tabs". Enter the name of the "Table of Contents" page in the "Wiki:" textbox.
Bonus tip: To set a project-wide sidebar (almost always a TOC, displayed on all wiki pages):
Select the "Administer" tab, click on "Wiki"
Scroll down to the "Wiki sidebar" section
Enter the name of the sidebar page under "Show the following page as a sidebar on all wiki pages:"

I am not finding "Launch Automatic Page Generator"

I am not finding "Launch Automatic Page Generator" in setting option of github(version 2.26.0.windows.1) how to get it
There is no automatic page generator button in GitHub anymore, I am not able to find it in any of my repos. GitHub now uses Jekyll to make the pages.
Instead, you can do the following to create a GitHub webpage: Go to github.com/YOUR_REPO_NAME/settings/ then scroll down to the GitHub Pages section and select the "Choose a theme" button. Then choose a theme and select the green "Chose theme" button. Now create an index.html in the master branch and create your page there.
Even the "Choose a theme" button might disappear, from Aug. 2022:
GitHub Pages: Deprecating the theme picker
Today (Aug. 22, 2022), we are deprecating the theme picker we introduced in 2012 for GitHub Pages.
While this experience allowed users to preview a theme in the user interface, we are doing this to increase the security of github.com.
You can of course continue to use any Jekyll theme you want with Pages, and publish beautiful sites with a small configuration change.

Why is Insert > Related List not working in sharepoint 2013?

Hi I have got a few lists with Lookup fields from Source lists. I wish to have a Related lists (Webpart connections from 2007 days) where I select item from master and then child records are displayed. Although I have followed the instructions on the below article, the "relationship" bit is not working. The Related records from the child lists are not filtering rather showing all records from the child table.

I also encountered this issue, and the solution is pretty simple, but not very obvious. When creating a new page, you MUST be sure that you create a page of type Web Part Page. When you use the default "Add a Page" option from the site settings menu, the default page type is a Wiki page, not a web part page. Even though you can add web parts to a Wiki page, the Wiki page does not include the functionality for implementing web part connections.
Once I created a page using one of the Web Part Page types, I was able to use web part connections.
have you tried this:
Browse to the affected page, and then open the page in edit mode.
Click the drop-down arrow in the upper-right corner of the Web Part for the tasks list, and then click Edit Web Part.
On the right side of the page in the Web Part properties controls, click the plus sign (+) on the Miscellaneous section, click to select the Server Render checkbox, and then click OK.
Save the changes to the page.

Google code Wiki Homepage

How can I be able to set a wiki page as a homepage (make it appear every time I click on the "Wiki" tab) in my google code project.
Thanks in advance
On your GoogleCode site, click "Administer", then "Tabs". In the form that appears, you can customize which wiki pages are to be used for the "Downloads"/"Wiki"/"Issues"/"Source" tabs.

Showing Announcement list in Custom Page in Sharepoint site

I am having a sharepoint site and i had added a custom aspx page and I want to show the announcement list items in that page. How to show the list items in a custom page ?. Helpful links and sample code would be helpful?
Access Your custom page from the browser and Edit the page by clicking Site action > Edit Page. If you have a Web part Zone available in your page then
Click 'Add a webpart'(for webpart page) > Click 'Insert' tab in ribbon > Select 'WebPart' > List and libraries > select the announcement list and click OK.
This will add a web part of announcement list in your page.
But if you dont have the webpart zone then i am afraid it is not possible directly,
But you can use client object model for this visit this

I found a solution for my requirement. I had used XsltListViewWebPart for displaying announcement list in custom application page. I would like to thank everyone who offered me their advice thanks a lot.
The following link did it for me

dotCMS edit a menu

I cannot figure out how to edit a menu in dotCMS. I have been assigned the task of removing an item off a menu. If I login to dotCMS and navigate to the URL it will show the page integrated with the CMS. It shows a up-down arrow box for adjusting the order of the menu items. I cannot, however, find how to add/remove/rename the items. If I click on the up/down arrows it forwards me to a menu-reordering page. It does not give any links to further manage the menu from there. I did some searches in Website > Links without any luck.
Pages or directories are included in te menu if it has the option "show on menu" checked. You can uncheck it by going to the website tab in the cms and right click on te page or the directory you want to exclude. Click on properties in the context menu and in the new page uncheck the "show on menu" checkbox. The checkbox could be on the second tab, just look for it there, you'll fin it easy enough. Hope this helps.
